    Customer Reviews SummaryAI Summary
A 40-year bestselling 7-ply blade excelling in balance between speed and spin. Highly rated by unconventional rubber users, though weight and batch variations present challenges.
    ■ Frequently Mentioned Points
    • Excellent balance of speed and spin
    • Substantial weight requires sufficient strength
    • Individual variations require pre-purchase verification
    • Excellent compatibility with unconventional rubbers
    • Hard, crisp feel that is easy to handle
    ■ Representative Voices
▲ PositiveDespite being a 7-ply blade, it combines the ease of handling inherent to wooden rackets with surprising elasticity, delivering high performance. Especially compatible with unconventional rubber users.
▽ CriticalVery heavy; adding tension rubbers makes it even heavier, making it difficult to use effectively without sufficient arm strength to swing it through.

Certain Koichi (Experience: 2〜3 years) Super fast blade!

      Player reviews

I'd been using the STIGA Allround Evolution for two years, so when I switched to the Clipper Wood, it suddenly started flying and even my playing style changed lol
My forehand went from mainly chops to speed drives, my backhand long pips gets more variation too, and the speed on pushes is outstanding!
It's almost too fast for drive players to get around lol

Super heterogeneous attack type (Experience: 2〜3 years) Does everything

      Player reviews

Forehand: Yinhe Apollo 5 (ultra-thin sponge). Backhand: Materialist Specialist Reflection. Everything about this is easy to play. In particular, blocking on the backhand and then finishing with a forehand smash scores efficiently. Also, when a drive comes to my backhand, turning it into a backhand counter is a near-guaranteed point if it goes in. From mid-distance to away from the table, it doesn't have much finishing power, but stable drives go in well. Recommended for players who want to add some variety to their balance.

Chiquitaaaaaaa (Experience: 2〜3 years) Very good

      Player reviews

It's just good, plain and simple. A bit heavy, but serves are easy to control, and you can do a lot from mid-distance and away from the table too. And the drives go in like crazy. Once you use this, you might not be able to go back lol

Irino (Experience: 6〜10 years) What is this blade!?

      Player reviews

The feel is just plain hard, no matter how you look at it! Whether you're using short pips or inverted rubber, the ball flies off before you can really put spin or variation on it!
The speed on a flat hit is incredibly fast and really exhilarating.
It flies a bit too much though, so blocking is tricky!!

Fast cutman (Experience: 2〜3 years) A racket that really flies

      Player reviews

It really flies well. I also like the sound when you hit the ball. It's on the heavy side though, so if you put something like Hurricane on it, you might not be able to swing all the way through.

Yama (Experience: 2〜3 years) Really the best after all!

      Player reviews

It's almost been a month since I changed rubbers, so here's an updated review. I switched from the Q4 to the Q5, and thanks to the blade, the ball lands deep in just the right way without flying too long. I've gotten pretty used to the blade too and I really like it now. I'd definitely recommend it to unorthodox players who play close to the table, so give it a try!

      Yama (Experience: 2〜3 years) A must-try for short-pips users

      Player reviews

I'd really recommend this for someone running short pips on the backhand! The feel is unique, but it's easy to use and it gives you speed too. I'd recommend a harder spin-oriented rubber on the forehand and a softer one on the backhand! The price is on the high side, but it's worth it! That said, the weight varies a bit from unit to unit, so weigh it before you buy.
