Despite being an inner blade, it's thick and manages to combine that with real power on the ball.
I'd always avoided ALC blades because the ball tends to leave the racket too quickly, but this blade really grips the ball.
I think the slightly larger blade size also plays into that grip feel.It's a very well-rounded blade overall, but one thing to note is that the weight balance is quite tip-heavy.
That makes switching between forehand and backhand harder, and I especially felt my backhand blocks were a beat slow in a pinch.
That said, once you consciously use the head of the blade, the power on the ball goes up dramatically, so I'd call this a trade-off rather than a flaw.Given the larger blade size and the tip-heavy balance, I'd recommend using lighter rubbers with this blade. If you put German rubber on both sides, this blade will demand a lot of power from you.

"Ovtcharov! It's out!" — so I bought it right away.
My first impression was that it really flies!! There's not much feedback when you hit the ball, and it felt hard to control.
I felt like my usual Zhang Jike ALC was easier to control. That's probably just personal preference though...
As for the grip, since the blade is thick it felt a bit off at first. I guess that's something you get used to.
The fit around the flared part of the handle also didn't feel as snug in my hand compared to the Zhang Jike ALC.The weight balance is also fairly tip-heavy, so it feels heavy.
This one really comes down to personal taste when buying.Some of this might be down to my own technique, but personally I felt like stiffer rubbers, such as the Dignics series or Hurricane, would suit it well.
If you're the type who likes to put spin on the ball and send it flying, I think this blade is a perfect fit for you.

This is just the best. Both speed and spin were top-notch. The downside is that the blade is wider, so it ends up a bit heavier than a standard one.

First off, I put Hurricane (blue sponge) on the forehand and Dignics 05 on the backhand — in a word, it's easy to use!
It's not something just anyone can handle, but if you've got power, this is guaranteed to be a godly blade lol. In terms of equipment, it's like a Viscaria with better ball-holding! Tenergy would probably pair well with it, but honestly using Dignics feels like the smarter choice lol. Since the forehand is Hurricane, it doesn't get pushed around even by a grown adult's shots, and the backhand is stiff, so if you've got some skill, you can block and spin the ball back without getting overpowered, easily! If you like tension rubber on your forehand, going with a softer rubber from the Tenergy line, or something like MX-P from another maker, might also be good! This is definitely an all-around blade! I also tried 09C — if you like it super stiff that might work for you, but it's not something everyone can use lol. The ball just flies off on its own, which makes it fun! This is a really nice blade! It's very well balanced. It's fast, but feels great in the hand, and being thicker there's less vibration, so it's perfect for anyone who doesn't want a lot of feedback through the handle.

Honestly, I bought it because I fell in love with the design regardless of performance, but it turned out to be a really great blade.
I normally use an Arunade Inner, so I put the same rubber on both sides to compare them.
The Arunade was 2g heavier by weight (of course there's individual variation), but when I swung it, the Ovtcharov felt heavier.
I think that's because the blade is a bit larger, putting the weight balance more toward the tip.
Worth noting that it feels heavier than its actual weight.
According to the person receiving my shots, the ball felt heavier off the Ovtcharov too.
Also, the inner blade's strengths come through in the short game — the ball settles nicely on the table.
On top of that, the slightly rounded grip shape fit my hand well, which was another plus.Overall Speed Spin Control Touch Hardness Little soft
