It's a 7-ply similar to the SK-7 Classic. The Fortius has a thinner board. The ball comes off it just as fast as the SK-7, but because the board is thinner, it draws more of an arc and stays on the table. This shows up clearly when you put a speed-oriented rubber on it.
The FL version has a thick grip end that's suited to swinging freely. The ST version is slimmer and prioritizes control. If you want to grip it firmly, you'll probably find something better by looking at the SK-7.

This blade is really great!
I switched over from being a chopper, and I could use it without any problems. But it flies quite a bit, so control might be tricky. Also, maybe thanks to the rubber I'm using, the feel came across as soft. If you're stuck on which blade to get, I think this one works.Overall Speed Spin Control Touch Hardness Little soft

For an all-wood blade, it's really fast. The speed feels somewhere between an outer and an inner carbon blade. I found it easier to hit sharp, speed-oriented drives rather than tight loop drives. I felt it suits players who like to push forward with speed! Even when you back off the table, you still get power, plus you can put out heavy balls.

It has few quirks and makes a lot of techniques easy.

Like other reviews mention, you can play it with a 5-ply feel too. There's really no technique that feels hard to do with it. It pairs great with short pips too. That said, it's a bit on the heavy side, so if you're not confident in your strength, I'd recommend putting on a lighter rubber.

The power on the ball, how it launches, the bounce, the flex — I think it's all perfect.
Even though it's a 7-ply, the board isn't all that thick. A lot of the individual blades run a bit heavy, but if you look around you can find ones with just the right weight.
The grip shape is also easy to hold, and the simple design is the best part. There are a lot of colorful grip designs these days, but I like this one because I prefer a design that's plainly "wood."Overall Speed Spin Control Touch Hardness little hard

It's a 7-ply, but if anything it's closer to a bouncy 5-ply. The handling and flex are also close to a 5-ply, so it's easy to use. Every attacking shot becomes less error-prone, and blocking in particular is stable. Personally, I think the best thing about it is that it makes the short game easy to play. Since it's heavy, you might need to think a bit about your rubber choice.
I'd recommend it for anyone who wants bounce but also wants stability at the same time. It's affordable, so give it a try.Overall Speed Spin Control Touch Hardness little hard
