It bounces really well, so I think it's a good match for tacky rubber. The bounce ends up just right when you pair it with tacky, so I'd recommend it to attacking players who run tacky rubber on both sides.

I was using the Altero and wanted to keep the blade light while still getting more power, so I picked the 85g SWAT Power. At first it flew too much and control was tough, but after a while I got it under control. It's a completely different blade from the regular SWAT. That said, it still holds the ball reasonably well, and despite the speed you can hit drives with fairly high spin. Smashes are easy to hit too. One issue: when re-gluing rubber, the top ply tends to peel at the edges. Also, after about a year and a half of use, I felt the power had dropped a bit (note: this is just my personal impression). Since the peeling got worse and my coach recommended a blade with more power, I've now switched to a special-material one.

I've been using this blade for about 2 years now.
Here's what I've come to think after playing table tennis with it. I run thick rubber on both sides.
The top ply is a hard 7-ply construction, so yeah, it flies. Though to someone used to outer-carbon blades, it won't feel like it flies much at all. This blade doesn't really pick its player. If you use softer rubber (this part matters!!), I think even a middle schooler who can win a bit at the prefectural level could use it. The technique I personally find easiest is blocking — absorb blocks, punch blocks, that kind of thing are all easy to pull off. That might just be because I'm good at blocking myself, but attacking shots are easy too. The problem is that since it's such a bouncy blade, I can't recommend it to someone without solid fundamentals — without proper weight transfer you just get weak, lifeless shots. But if you're someone who really knows how to use their weight shift, legs, and core, you'll get ball speed that rivals outer-carbon blades along with that heavy ball that I think is wood's greatest weapon.

Bought it on Mercari.
The first thing I noticed when I picked it up was that the grip is thick!
I usually only use thin grips, so I'm not really into this thicker style, but once I actually used it...
I was really drawn to how amazing the spin and speed were. The feel is decent too.
That said, I found the control a bit tricky.
It pairs well with hard rubbers, so something like Rakza 7 or V15 Extra is a perfect match.
A soft rubber could work too, but if you go that route, I'd put it on the B side (backhand).
It's a 7-ply blade, which happens to be my favorite ply count. [Not that anyone asked, lol.]
If you're torn on which 7-ply blade to get and you don't mind a thicker grip, or you actually like one, this is a good choice.

Shiokara (Experience: ４〜５ years) Destructive power!!

This blade has more destructive power than you'd expect from a wood blade, while still keeping its stability.
My thoughts:
- Niwa used this blade himself, so it's no surprise it's really stable when playing close to the table
- It doesn't fly off unpredictably, so the short game is easy to handle too
- The power is insane, lolIt's a bit heavy, but as long as you're not putting Chinese rubber on it, it's a great blade that works with pretty much any rubber.

Turtle The ball flies!

I use it with V15 Extra MAX on both sides.
The ball really carries, and the exhilaration is amazing.
The feel gives you a solid 'thwack' too.
That distinctive wood-blade sensation of spin biting into the ball also comes through in your hand.Rather than using an outer-carbon blade,
using the Swat Power
probably opens up more possibilities overall.The only thing is, the weight is a bit of a concern.

It's an all-round blade with a nice balance of speed and spin. The wood is hard, but it grips the ball firmly, letting you hit heavy topspin drives with plenty of spin. Flat hits also come off at a nice speed. The short game doesn't bounce too much, so it's easy to control, and brushing the ball thin is also manageable, depending on the rubber. Topspin drives lifting underspin balls are especially amazing.
