I'd recommend this blade to players who want to be consistent while still attacking! I also think putting on a Rasant instead of Tenergy works well. That said, no matter how good a blade and rubber combo you use, it doesn't mean you'll definitely win, so I won't recommend it to absolutely everyone. I'm currently practicing with this blade/rubber combination. I think it's good to replace the rubber about once every two months. If you do proper strength training, drive practice, and play practice matches, you'll gradually come to understand what's good about this blade!

Easy to handle and it's got good speed too, so I recommend it! Pair it with Hurricane and you can get both spin and speed to their max.

Just like the title says, the flex is great. Since it doesn't have carbon in it, it doesn't fly too much. I'd recommend it to players who rely more on varied loop drives than pure speed-based attacks.

The Ma Long Carbon is a speed-focused blade, but this one has high control and pairs well with spin-oriented rubbers. Hurricane or Fastarc G-1 are a perfect match.

The way topspin drives carry through is really great, so they're consistent. Also, since there's flex, counters, blocks, and the short game were all really easy to play. I think this is a blade that would appeal to just about everyone.

5-ply blades had just never worked for me. I actually tried several well-regarded 5-ply blades, but the feel on impact never quite clicked for me. Then along came the Ma Long 5, the first 5-ply blade where I could finally appreciate what's good about them. Here are a few things I liked.
(1) Loop drives are easy to hit. The reason is that even though the blade isn't soft, it still gives you a sense of grabbing the ball. I think that's because while the outer ply is hard, the core ply is soft. Also, since the blade is thin, it flexes just the right amount.
(2) Because the grip is a bit thin, it was easy to rotate the blade head on chiquitas. That said, I didn't find the grip anywhere near as thin as a lot of reviews make it sound. It wasn't just chiquitas either — backhand drives were easy to hit too.
(3) The bounce isn't quite up to tension-rubber levels, but it still has a decent amount of bounce. It's a fine amount of bounce for playing close to the table and mid-distance. Since it doesn't bounce too much, the short game is easy to handle.Overall Speed Spin Control Touch Hardness Little soft

It flexes just the right amount, so it's easy to put spin on things like loop drives, and you get good power too. Since it's non-carbon, flicks and stops in the short game are easy to pull off as well. What I like most is how thin the grip is. Because the grip is thin, my wrist snaps through nicely on things like the chiquita. I'd recommend this to two-winged topspin drive players who want both spin and power.
