    7-Ply Blade Popular In Europe

The Korbel SK7 is an attacking blade that offers a relatively soft and controlled feeling even at high speed.
All wood 7-ply blade, heavy, but the weight is concentrated in the handle, well balanced.

    Customer Reviews SummaryAI Summary
A 7-ply blade racket highly praised for speed and destructive power. However, its weight is a challenge, requiring significant strength and a mid-court drive-focused playstyle. Users often adjust playability through rubber selection or blade customization.
    ■ Frequently Mentioned Points
    • Overwhelming speed and destructive power
    • Weighs around 100g, making it relatively heavy
    • Hard blade pairs well with softer rubbers
    • Best suited for strong mid-court drive players
    • Surprisingly stable for table touch despite 7-ply construction
    ■ Representative Voices
▲ PositiveDelivers unimaginable speed and destructive power on smashes. The weight becomes ideal when paired with Chinese rubber.
▽ CriticalThe weight and thick grip are problematic; players without sufficient strength or those not focused on mid-court drives will struggle with control.

Same blade as the SK7, just a different grip.

Back in high school there was a period when I was really into mid-distance topspin rallies, so I used this for about six months.
I have two of them, and both were around 100g - insanely heavy.
The blade itself is pretty stiff, so I paired it with a softer tension rubber, but it was still heavy,
so in the end I sanded down the blade myself to use it.

It's true that it delivers good power when you're driving from mid-distance,
but personally I found it hard to use for close-to-the-table play, especially the short game.

Because it's heavy and has a thick grip, I can't recommend it for junior high students.
I think you'd need to be a high schooler or older, with the strength for mid-distance driving, or the racket will end up controlling you.

You can hit really fast smashes with this! You can also hit good balls from mid-distance! I have short pips on my backhand, and when I flick, I can hit a really fast backhand! That said, the blade is quite heavy, so I can't recommend it to women, for example! Also, I felt spin was a bit hard to put on the ball!

All I can say is it's amazing.
It's a bit on the heavy side, but that makes it just right if you put Chinese rubber on it.
When you smash, it gives you speed and power you wouldn't expect.

Potatoes JIN (Experience: 2〜3 years) A serious 7-ply blade

      Player reviews

This blade really feels like a classic 7-ply.
It's fast and has the kind of bounce you'd expect from a 7-ply, great for hitting hard and grinding out points.
But even though it's a 7-ply, it's still easy to handle in the short game, and it holds up well in topspin rallies too.
The weight is about what you'd expect from a 7-ply though - pretty heavy. So you'll need some strength to really swing it around...

ume (Experience: 2〜3 years) Great for those with a full swing◎

      Player reviews

The blade itself is a little on the heavy side,
but when you swing through it fully, the ball comes out really heavy, which is good.

And it's easy to control too, so I'd recommend it to a wide range of players!

Wait-chan (Experience: 2〜3 years) Very easy to use!!

      Player reviews

I'm playing with a hard blade paired with a soft rubber.
The feel is good and it's stable too, so I found it really easy to use.

I felt like the blade was a little heavy, so I tried sanding down the blade a bit.
Doing that, for me personally, let me play matches feeling much lighter, so I'm glad I sanded it down.

Yukichi chan (Experience: 6〜10 years) The go-to for intermediate players

Being a mid-fast, 5-ply blade in the Korbel family, I think it can help intermediate players develop the more advanced skills they need.
