It pairs excellently with soft rubbers. I still remember that feeling of the ball going in whether I swung hard or just made contact! It's not that heavy either, so it works for players of any skill level, from beginner to advanced! Also, since it's pure wood, the feel is a bit on the soft side.

Since it's a 7-ply, it's very heavy. I use Hurricane rubber, and it pairs extremely well.

My overall impression is just that it's a hard blade.
It doesn't fly all that much, but the ball comes out dead straight.
I can't recommend it to anyone who can't put solid spin on the ball.
Personally the feel wasn't to my taste, so I let it go after just one use.
I guess if you're really into that classic, no-frills 7-ply style, this might be irresistible though~...Overall Speed Spin Control Touch Hardness little hard

In my first year of junior high I used Japanese penhold and felt it didn't suit me, so partway through my second year I bought the SK7 Classic! So my shakehand experience is only about a year - pretty short... Probably because of that, along with not having enough technique or practice, I often had trouble landing my third-ball drive.
This blade is also quite heavy, and with inverted rubber on both sides, someone with as little shakehand experience as me couldn't keep up switching between forehand and backhand or chaining drives together. So I switched to short pips on the backhand, but even then it's still 185 grams.
I've said a few negative things, but honestly a lot of the techniques not working out is simply because I haven't practiced enough - for someone who's been playing shakehand for many years, I think this is a great blade that delivers real power! Since switching to this blade myself, the power on my drives and the speed and precision of my flicks and smashes with short pips have both improved a lot, and thanks to that I made it to the round of 8 at the prefectural tournament in the general championships!
I can't recommend it to shakehand beginners like myself, but I can highly recommend it to experienced shakehand players.Overall Speed Spin Control Touch Hardness little hard

Above all, it flies. You can really feel the 7-ply character coming through.
That said, it's not hard to put spin on the ball either - techniques that need strong spin, like chops or the chiquita, are still easy to pull off. (Chiquita is hard, though...)
Also, blocks don't fly too much and are easy to return accurately.
I use this as my second blade, but I wouldn't recommend using it as your first. The ball flies too much for a first blade. Also, even if things go well using it first, you might struggle when you switch to another blade later.
This might sound a bit crude, but honestly, for this level of performance, the price feels way too cheap...Overall Speed Spin Control Touch Hardness little hard

First of all, it's very stable. So blocks and similar shots are super consistent!!
