Mizuno, you made a ridiculous blade here.
Great with tacky rubber, and great with tension rubber too — both get top marks.
There aren't many blades where you put on tacky rubber and still get this much ball-holding while also getting real speed.
Ball-holding and speed are usually opposites, but I think this blade overturned that.
It's heavy, but the balance leans toward the tip, so it's easy to swing all the way through!
Easy to do both the short game and counters.
When you back off the table, the ball flies on its own without you having to force a high trajectory.
Bouncy but still easy to play the short game — how does that even work??

Using the FL handle.
To put it mildly, this is a fantastic blade.
I've long preferred hinoki (cypress) ply blades. That's because I'm hooked on the uniquely pleasant feel of hinoki.
This Fortius FT ver.D has hinoki as part of its ply construction, and when you get a strong impact on it, that pleasant hinoki feel and sound come through — even though it's an outer special-material blade.
The ball's extension, spin, and depth also leave nothing to complain about.
Also, in contrast to the above, small techniques stay controlled. Serves, stops — easy to do.
As long as you have the strength to keep swinging this weight through, you'll fall in love with this blade.Overall Speed Spin Control Touch Hardness Little soft

Power hitter Y (Experience: ２〜３ years) Spins well for a carbon blade

I have Yinhe's Apollo 5 40° on my forehand and andro's Rasanter R47 on my backhand.
This blade pairs really well with tacky rubber. (Same goes for tension rubber.)
Mizuno lists this blade's average weight as 90g, but the one I bought was 87g, so I was happy about that.

I borrowed a friend's and tried hitting with it. People say it's similar to the Fortius FT, but it definitely still feels like a special-material blade. When you catch it on the sweet spot, the feel is almost the same as the Fortius FT but with a bit more speed, though when you try loop drives or short-game techniques, you can tell it's not wood. It gave me the impression that the sweet spot is bigger, so it seems like it would be strong in topspin rallies.

I borrowed a Fortius and liked the ball-holding feel when I hit with it, and then I found out there was a ver.D with even better distance, so I bought that one. My first impression hitting with it was that the feel was almost identical to the Fortius FT, so I was very satisfied. It has more bounce than a regular 7-ply, but the feel is much closer to wood than carbon, so in that sense I'd recommend it to wood-feel fans who still want more distance. That said, it undeniably falls short on speed compared to a regular outer-carbon blade, but in exchange the ball holds onto the blade longer, so I think it's easier to put spin on it. Since the feel is almost all wood, it's also easy to vary the strength of your shots, so stops and similar techniques aren't hard to do — that's one of the points I like about it.

I bought it and used it for a while, so I want to jot down a quick review.
First, weight-wise it has a certain heft, as you'd expect from a 7-ply, but the balance point is toward the handle, so it doesn't actually feel that heavy in hand.
On light shots it doesn't bounce as much as you'd expect, but hit it with a solid impact and you get a ball with real extension.
However, when hitting in quick succession, if you don't keep up a fairly strong impact on each shot, the ball tends to go flat and unstable.
I wouldn't recommend it to people who normally use an outer-carbon blade and are happy with that. I think it suits people using something like an inner-carbon blade who want to tone the bounce down just a little.Overall Speed Spin Control Touch Hardness little hard

Mabi (Experience: １１〜２０ years) A racket with the best of wood and special materials

I used to use an outer ZLC blade. It never bothered me in practice, but in matches, delicate techniques like stops, loop drives, and blocking loop drives flew off too much, and I found it hard to handle.
So I tried the Fortius FT ver.D, and it turned out to be a great match.
So let me list the pros and cons.
○Pros
- When you hit it with a firm, thick contact, the ball travels in a trajectory like a special-material inner blade. It has that "grabbing the ball firmly" feeling.
- For techniques where you don't hit with a thick contact, it feels like using a completely different blade. Since the flight is toned down, you can control the ball precisely.
Stops are just really easy to do overall.○Cons
- It's a bit heavy. I asked around three people while trying this blade, and every single one of them said "it's heavy."
- The grip is a bit thick. Personally I prefer a thinner one!Finally...
I think seriously about equipment on a regular basis.
It might sound odd coming from me, but I do play among the top tier in my prefecture,
