    The new Carbonado 245 and Carbonado 290 blades are constructed with thicker TeXtreme® 200 gram per m2 carbon fiber, providing extreme power and carbon feel. These two new additions to the Carbonado family are built with the same expert processes and quality materials as the original Carbonado 145 and Carbonado 190, with one difference – the Carbonado 245 and 290 contain 200 gram per m2 carbon fiber while the original Carbonado 145 and 190 contains 100 gram per m2 carbon fiber. Choose Carbonado 245 and 290 for top quality, expert craftsmanship, and outstanding performance, along with increased hitting power and carbon feeling.

      It's heavy, and the weight is concentrated toward the tip, so it suits power hitters.
      It's a good idea to balance it out with a soft rubber or a lighter-weight rubber.
      I also felt it suits fast-attack short pips and large ball as well.

      This is a review from a backhand short-pips player.
      I switched from the Fortius FT to the 290.
      For an unorthodox-style player, this blade is one built around matching short pips.
      I play short pips on my backhand, but since I also mix in chiquita and drives, what matters most to me is how easily I can produce variation. Ideally, if I brush the ball I get a decent amount of spin, and if I hit flat I get a knuckle ball. I knew the rubber would grip the ball to some extent, so I figured the rest would come down to the knuckle shot...
      This blade covered that delicate balance perfectly. Of course, the angle tolerance is stricter than with the Fortius, but in exchange the range of variation went up, making it easier to play what you might call "dirty" tricky tennis. Thanks to the quick ball release, angled shots are easier to place, and I've been able to produce knuckle balls purely through the equipment.
      This blade has a lot of character. Needless to say, I can't recommend it to players without power or to beginners. If a drive-style player wants to use it, they'll probably need to switch to a rubber with better ball-holding. If you pair it with a hard rubber, you'll need a considerable amount of swing speed to handle it.

      This blade was perfect for short pips on the forehand. Hit a straight serve with short pips and the ball goes dead straight and really fast. Smashes close to the table also come out with a ton of power.

      I put tacky rubber on my forehand thinking it would tone down the bounce, but no luck. It still flies. Smashes go dead straight, and drives come out with a bit more speed too. Same with loops.

      A full swing is dangerously powerful with this one. That's how powerful this blade is. If you rely a lot on smashes and fast topspin drives, definitely give it a try.
