The new Carbonado 245 and Carbonado 290 blades are constructed with thicker TeXtreme® 200 gram per m2 carbon fiber, providing extreme power and carbon feel. These two new additions to the Carbonado family are built with the same expert processes and quality materials as the original Carbonado 145 and Carbonado 190, with one difference – the Carbonado 245 and 290 contain 200 gram per m2 carbon fiber while the original Carbonado 145 and 190 contains 100 gram per m2 carbon fiber. Choose Carbonado 245 and 290 for top quality, expert craftsmanship, and outstanding performance, along with increased hitting power and carbon feeling.
Carbonado 245 is constructed with carbon layers in a 45 degree angle.
45 degree angle provides torsional bendability which gives the blade more flexibility and increased stiffness.
200 gram carbon fibre per m2. A thicker TeXtreme® carbon fibre for increased power and carbon feel.

This blade doesn't fly as far as you'd expect if you just tap the ball, but if you swing through it properly, you get shots with real power in both speed and spin. It also works as a benchmark for building up your own swing, and if you can master it, I think it becomes a powerful weapon.

I was surprised that even though the ball makes such a hard sound on impact, the drives curve quite a lot. I hear the 290 version goes in more of a straight line, but with this blade, if you want to hit a drive with a nice arc, you can do it.

Hurricane Love (Experience: ６〜１０ years) An amazing racket once you master it

I have Hurricane rubber on both sides, and when I can really swing through properly, it puts out a lot of speed. But when you just tap the ball, it doesn't bounce much at all, even setting aside the fact that it's Hurricane rubber. It's a feel unlike anything I've used before.
The sound when you hit is a sharp, high-pitched "pock."
If your timing is off and you hit early, the ball comes off very quickly, so it often falls short of the net.
If you graze the ball thinly, you get a lot of spin.
When you want speed on a drive, you need to wrap the swing slightly or hit more like a "shoot," otherwise the ball leaves too fast and doesn't arc.
Countering is a bit tricky. If you don't relax and raise your swing speed, you'll overshoot. Blocking is no problem at all.
In the short game, the ball tends to sit up a little.
Overall the ball comes off quickly, so it's easy to be affected by incoming spin. Hitting flat is fairly easy though.
When I first bought it, I regretted it, thinking I'd bought a 20,000-yen toy, but if you push through and keep using it until you get used to it, all those issues stop mattering at all - it's a wonderful blade.

The faster you swing this blade, the faster and more sharply curving your topspin drives become. It felt a bit heavy at first, but once you're used to it, it's a great weapon.

I played table tennis up through university, but I recently got back into it for the first time in 30 years to fight my lack of exercise. It's only been a few months, and I started out with a stiff 7-ply, but I started wanting to hit the kind of sharp shots I could when I was young, so I bought this to make up for aging with equipment. Every technique is easy to pull off, the speed is outstanding, the spin is outstanding, and overall the power is outstanding - it's like my shots have gone back to how they were in my youth. I think intermediate players and up could handle it with a bit of practice. If you're thinking about stepping up to a decent blade, why not push yourself a little and buy this one? It'll make your shots feel like a completely different person hit them. It's truly a wonderful piece of equipment. If only I'd had this blade 30 years ago...

My first impression hitting with this blade was how high-pitched the sound is.
Also, even with a slightly tacky rubber on it, the ball comes off really quickly, yet instead of flying flat, it still arcs nicely.
I put a fairly soft rubber on my backhand, which worried me a bit, but it turned out to be exactly right - chiquita is really easy to do, and the rubber compensates for how quickly the ball leaves the blade. I'd love to give it full marks, but sometimes I overshoot when returning a chop with a loop drive. Also, the grip is made of carbon material, so it's easy to hold, but when I sweat my hand turned black (lol).
