    Customer Reviews SummaryAI Summary
Despite being an outer ALC material, it is highly evaluated for its excellent compatibility with sticky rubbers and balanced speed and spin. Supported by top player usage, it is gaining support from intermediate to advanced players seeking offensive play.
    ■ Frequently Mentioned Points
    • Excellent balance of speed and spin
    • Good compatibility with sticky rubbers
    • Grip shape makes backhand swings easier
    • Table play techniques are easy to execute
    • Requires technical skill to master
    ■ Representative Voices
▲ PositiveDespite being outer ALC, it has a gripping sensation and excellent balance between bounce and ball grip. With reliable speed output, it appeals to many offensive-style players.
▽ CriticalThe fast ball departure and strong bounce characteristic of outer materials make it difficult for beginners and plywood users to master, potentially causing control issues.

Limited Express Nisshin Express (Experience: 2〜3 years) World-class grip

      Player reviews

I use it with a flared grip.
The backhand is super easy to swing.
It might also be down to the rubber pairing, but countering and topspin drives are really easy to pull off.
The downside is it bounces quite a bit, so I get a lot of overshoot misses.
The price is brutal, but it's worth paying for this one.

I heard the Viscaria was recently reissued, so I want to write up a comparison between the old version (new lot) and the reissue. The first thing I noticed as soon as I picked it up was that the reissue doesn't feel like a real Viscaria. For one, the grip is no different from the FL grip on the Zhang Jike series that's still sold today. The original should feel sleeker and thinner. Also, the reissue's gray coloring is a bit darker. Because the grip is different from the original model, that easy backhand feel has become duller. The blade itself is unchanged — still a 5.8mm outer ALC. In other words, everything about the reissue, including the grip, is identical to the Zhang Jike ALC FL. So rather than paying over 20,000 yen for this, you're better off buying the Zhang Jike, which you can get for 18,000. The reissue Viscaria is really just a Zhang Jike with a different grip design. In short, it's a rip-off racket.

      Rudder A nostalgic feel.

      Player reviews

Nostalgic. That's really the only word for it.
A grip that makes the backhand easy to swing,
      a well-balanced, thinner blade.
      Everything about it is great.
      I like the design too.

lucky (Experience: 4〜5 years) Amazing, but……

      Player reviews

It pairs really well with tacky rubbers, has a moderate amount of bounce, and if you swing through properly you can add speed while keeping all the spin and stability of the tacky rubber — it's kind of the ideal setup.
Also, the backhand short-game techniques feel really easy to pull off, which I think fits really well with the current table tennis playing style.
It makes sense that so many pro players choose this blade.

That said, the manufacturer's retail price is 25,000 yen, which is expensive, so if you're going to buy one, I think it's better to get the Zhang Jike ALC instead — it's about 7,000 yen cheaper and has the exact same blade construction.
The only difference was really just the feel of the grip.

One circle rubber (Experience: 6〜10 years) The ideal racket

      Player reviews

I tried 05 on the forehand and 64 on the backhand, and it worked really well. The forehand made offensive techniques like topspin drives, flicks, and smashes easy, while the backhand made blocking, countering, topspin drives, and chiquitas easy — for me, I could actually do more things with my backhand than my forehand. The finer short-game techniques were also easy to pull off. That said, players with under two years of experience might find it a bit hard to handle at first. But you get used to it quickly.

Not too strong myself (Experience: 4〜5 years) Grip

      Player reviews

The grip makes the backhand easy to swing and comfortable to hold, the design is nice too — it's an arylate carbon outer blade that flies really well.

Bag hand mainly (Experience: 6〜10 years) Perfect grip

      Player reviews

Among outer carbon blades, this one has a backhand that's really easy to swing. The forehand side goes well with tacky rubber, and when I tried an 80-hardness rubber on the backhand it was super easy to use. The grip is perfect for swinging the backhand. Definitely give it a try.
