Highly rated as a control-focused rubber for beginners to intermediate players, while opinions are divided on the lack of speed and spin. Many recommend its use on the backhand side.
    ■ Frequently Mentioned Points
    • Excellent control performance with high stability
    • Soft sheet and sponge make it easy for beginners to handle
    • Particularly suitable for backhand side use
    • Good cost-performance with long durability
    • Limited maximum speed and spin potential
    ■ Representative Voices
▲ PositiveVery easy to use even for beginners, with solid spin generation and good speed output. An extremely versatile rubber suitable for beginners through intermediate players.
▽ CriticalThe rubber is too soft and absorbs the ball excessively, causing net errors for aggressive players. Speed-driven smashes struggle with stability and lack power.

    • Potato

Potato (Experience: 4〜5 years) Gateway to tension rubbers

      Reviews by user

I think this is a good first tension rubber for anyone wanting to try one. That said, these days plenty of other companies also make entry-level tension rubbers besides this one, so another option might work just as well.

The strength of Vega Europe is that, being soft, it lets you produce a decent shot even if your technique isn't fully developed yet. Because of that I hear its ceiling is lower than other rubbers, but I'm not very sensitive to that so I didn't notice it much.

Personally I'd recommend waiting for reviews of the rubbers that have come out since April before buying.

Faintness (Experience: 6〜10 years) Recommended for backhand once past beginner level

      Reviews by user

I'm a self-proclaimed intermediate player who restarted table tennis after a 10-year break. Currently using the medium thickness on my backhand.

Bought it to learn chiquita and stabilize my backhand drive.

Speed and spin are decent, control is outstanding. Recommended as a second backhand rubber for graduating beginners, or for anyone who just wants stability on the backhand above all. Rallies just keep going, so it's fun!

You might be a little more affected by incoming spin on receives. The stability of chiquita, backhand drives, and blocks close to the table is amazing. Just watch out that you can get outhit if you move away from the table.

Sometimes the ball slips a bit, so once I've properly practiced chiquita until this one wears out, I'm planning to move to the Asia DF, which has the same hardness and is plastic-ball compatible.

It's stable except on the backhand when your posture is off - how about it as a second rubber?

I love adhesion (Experience: 2〜3 years)

This rubber has a soft sponge, so it's very easy to put spin on.
The speed is decently fast, so I think it suits players of any level.
I bought it as my second rubber - it's easy to spin and bounces well, but after about two months of use it started peeling, so I think a short lifespan is its weak point.

    • Do not do it

Do not do it (Experience: 4〜5 years) Just really soft

      Reviews by user

It's a pretty soft rubber, so anyone from beginners to advanced players can use it.
There's no technique it struggles with, but in a rally battle, if your impact is weak, the rubber is soft enough that you'll lose the exchange.

      LOVE DUST (Experience: 6〜10 years)

      Reviews by user

I put it on my backhand. It doesn't get much distance when you move away from the table, so it's not suited to topspin rallies further back, but close to the table you can attack pretty consistently. The topsheet is soft so it's easy to put spin on too - it's a good rubber.

I got tied to table tennis! ! (Experience: Less than a year) Perfect value for money

      Reviews by user

The value for money is great, above all else.
I use it on my backhand side, and to start with, backhand pushes and things like that go in really well. Backhand drives also sink into the soft sponge, giving well-spun drives and pushes.
Since the value for money is good too, I want to keep using it forever.
