The combination of the D.TecS technology and the classical Grass provides absolutely new varieties of the undercut and cut defence. The built-in tension in the rubber surface and sponge makes the pimples more elastic and enables an incredible undercut. Excellent control and enough speed to counter the adversary‘s disturbing attacking balls.

I use short pips and long pips on a penhold reversal (flip) racket. Since switching from Curl P1 to Glayzr 0.5, my tactics have gotten more varied. In particular, flicking against backspin serves has gotten much easier. The way the ball glides through smoothly with that knuckle effect unique to Glayzr gives opponents a hard time lifting it. Also, chopping close to the table with the pen is super satisfying when it really bites. My main game is fast attacks with short pips (spin-oriented), but I flip to the pips side when I want to change the pace. Opponents really hate it.

I used OX rubber for many years.
My playing style is penhold pips, mixing offense and defense.
Back in the celluloid ball era, it produced a lot of variation, and even with a defense-heavy game plan in matches it had the ability to win easily. Back when I was actively competing, I placed in open tournaments quite often.
It has speed and can cramp opponents, plus its knuckle effect is strong so variation happens almost automatically.
Now that we're on plastic balls and spin has decreased, relying purely on automatic variation with an all-defense game makes it tough to beat intermediate-or-above players.
Rather than just blocking with the pips over and over like Haruna Fukuoka does, it would be more effective if you can swing the racket like a backhand topspin stroke and actively drive the ball with the pips.
With penhold pips, unless you smash balls the opponent has set up or counter floating loop drives with the pips, it's going to be tough.
At the junior-high level, you might be able to win to some extent just by using blocks and pushes for variation and simply returning the ball over and over, but if you keep playing the same way after tasting that success, it gets harder to win going forward.
If you can handle it well, you can make the most of the variation and it becomes a real threat to opponents, but because the bounce is strong, it's a rubber that takes time to master.All Speed Spin Control Hardness Little soft

I used both the 0.5mm and the OX (sheet-only) version.
The rubbers I've used up to now are
Curl P1, P4, Chen Qing, and Desperado.I'd heard Glayzr was hard to use, but
the OX version of Glayzr was easier to control
than any long pips I've used so far.The 0.5mm version flew too much
and was hard to control.But the OX Glayzr
is easy to stop with,
the push is easy to control and fast,
and on top of that backhand smashes
go in with a lot of precision.Compared to other pips, Glayzr
isn't affected much by incoming spin,
so once you get a feel for the general angle to hit at,
it becomes quite easy to handle.I've heard Curl P1 kills the ball more,
but for chop blocking,
Glayzr is definitely better at killing the ball.
Curl picks up a lot of the opponent's drive spin,
so even without much bounce
it still flies off.Compared to other pips, the range of techniques is narrower.
For blocking I think you should stick to chop blocks,
and for attacking, focus on pushes or smashes.
You can drive with it, but it's not really worth doing on purpose.Also, its knuckle (reversal) ability is top notch.
But since its strength lies more in how easy it is to vary length and how fast the push is,

For a long pips rubber, it's pretty fast.
The amount of variation it produces is insane.
If you're already somewhat used to long pips, it might be worth trying,

This rubber is one of the hardest long pips rubbers to learn to use. The speed is just plain fast and the spin gets completely chaotic. Personally, blocking at the table with a chop feels quite unstable and needs practice (I used a 1.0mm sponge to improve control). In practice, it's not well suited to passive/old-style defenders. Durability is incredibly long for a long pips rubber. It's worth the price, and it's not too expensive.

It wobbles like crazy. This thing is insane. At first, just touching the ball makes the opponent miss on their own. Even when a drive comes in, just touching it produces a wild chop. I'd love for unorthodox-style players to try it at least once. It makes table tennis fun.
