The combination of the D.TecS technology and the classical Grass provides absolutely new varieties of the undercut and cut defence. The built-in tension in the rubber surface and sponge makes the pimples more elastic and enables an incredible undercut. Excellent control and enough speed to counter the adversary‘s disturbing attacking balls.

For the first six months, my chops kept floating. But once you get used to it, combined with how much the rubber flies, you can land the ball from just about anywhere. Against fast drives and smashes, just lightly blocking sends the ball back with sharp spin. If it's thick, handling shots close to the table gets difficult, and if it's thin, you lose the rubber's real strengths, so you need to find the right balance there. I started at 1.2mm and dropped down to 0.9mm, and that ended up feeling just right.

Even though the pips are on the harder side, the variation is strong — just blocking a topspin drive turns it into a sharp backspin ball, and you can win points with the block alone. That said, since it's a tension pips rubber, it bounces too much and is hard to handle.

It's long pips, but you can attack with it too. I'm a chopper-style player, but for high balls I smash hard with the long pips. It goes in almost every time. Of course, you can play defense with it too. The push also has power behind it and can induce mistakes from the opponent.

It's on the harder side for a long pips rubber. I think it's good for chopping. It flies quite a bit, so once you back off from the table, shots go in from just about anywhere.

This is the easiest-to-use long pips rubber I've ever tried. Depending on how you use it, you can even attack with it. Amazing. Of course, being long pips, it's suited for defense. Chops especially bite really hard.

I'm using this on the backhand side of my Genshu blade. Defense is by far the easiest thing to do with it. Over the table you push, and further back from the table you chop — that's how I use it. That said, since it's long pips, it's not suited for attacking. It's a rubber suited for players who block and chop.

The ball comes off fast and there's not much hold, so I think it's better suited to pips-out pushing rather than pips-out driving. As for chopping, the feel on contact is great no matter what. I felt the variation was top-class, though I didn't feel there was all that much spin. What surprised me even more than the variation was that, even though it's a Glass-type rubber, chopping was surprisingly stable. I thought it might be a wild horse, but chops go exactly where I aim them. The one thing I personally felt was a downside is that on the opponent's serve, my pushes don't get much backspin, so I get my serve receives hammered on the third ball. But the speed of the push is really fast, so I figured you can make up for it by aiming your placement well.
