The combination of the D.TecS technology and the classical Grass provides absolutely new varieties of the undercut and cut defence. The built-in tension in the rubber surface and sponge makes the pimples more elastic and enables an incredible undercut. Excellent control and enough speed to counter the adversary‘s disturbing attacking balls.
Now available in 0.5 and 0.9 mm!
- Long pimples
Players use Grass D.tecS
- Exceptional spin reversal and automatic ball transformation with minimal player input
- Unusually high speed for long pips, delivering sharp pushing and smashing shots
- High tension causes excessive bounce, requiring extensive control practice
- Low spin sensitivity makes blocking and cutting strokes remarkably stable
- Advanced rubber requiring experience; not recommended for long-pips beginners

Suzumu The variation is...

A chopper I played against in a tournament was using this, and these are my impressions after being allowed to hit with it a bit after the match. First, the variation is just incredibly strong. It's an almost nasty amount of variation. But I felt it's difficult to handle - I don't think you can use it well unless you're used to long pips.

It flies quite a bit, and my blade isn't a defensive one either, so I use it thinking of it as an offensive rubber.
The variation is also huge, so I think you can go pretty far in a regional tournament with it.All Speed Spin Control Hardness Little hard

Comparing it to STIGA's Vertical 20: first, in terms of variation, attacking ability, and speed, Glayzr is overwhelmingly better. The variation is about as sharp as an anti-spin rubber. Attacks like pushes are also easier compared to other long pips, and it gives an impression of good speed. However, maybe because of the tension, compared to the Vertical, chops and blocks against hard-hit balls bounced too much and often went long. But once I got used to it, shots started going in consistently. I can't recommend it to beginners, but if you're used to long pips, it's worth trying.

・Equipment used: Glayzr D-tecs OX
・Length of use: 5 years
・Blades used: Acoustic → Gouriki → Wakyoku Sou (all used on the backhand)
---
Pros
・Since it generates speed, pushes and flat hits are easy.
・Even beginners can easily return knuckle balls automatically.
・Suited to choppers who can read the ball well, or players who want to play trickily close to the table.
---
Cons
・Since it flies quite a bit, it's hard to control.
・Not suited for players who want to add their own variation.
---
Effect of the blade
・The variation is bigger with an all-round blade than with a defensive one.
・The rubber on the forehand side also has a small effect.
---
Effect of the forehand rubber
・Using a tacky or hard rubber makes control easier, but you get less carry-through on pushes and the like.
・Using a high-tension rubber makes control harder, but it's easier to produce a sharply cut ball.
---
Overall evaluation
・The feel varies depending on the user's playing style, but I think this is a rubber that can deliver great performance if you specialize in a particular kind of play. All Speed Spin Control Hardness Little soft

It's easy to use, and I'd recommend it for penhold pips.
As your skill with blocking improves, you can generate enough spin that opponents miss even when trying to push it back. It's also fast on attack and easy to use.All Speed Spin Control Hardness Little soft

This rubber is a long pips rubber built with high-tension technology, and I'd say its position is something like the Dignics series in the inverted-rubber world.
If you catch the chop too low it flies off the table, so it demands a delicate touch, but if you swing firmly from high to low and send the ball with your whole body, you get a really nicely cut chop.
Also, even though it's long pips, I could swing my backhand like with short pips. So I think it also suits players who like tricky play close to the table. All Speed Spin Control Hardness Little soft

I put the OX version on a Def Play Sensoh in a Chinese-penhold setup and used it for about three months. With a hard blade like the Def Play Sensoh, I think you mainly end up fighting with chop blocks and pushes. It also felt less affected by incoming spin.
On the other hand, if you put it on a softer blade like the Kokutaka Passby No.1, it gets a bit more affected by incoming spin, but pushes and chop blocks are of course easy, and driving with the pips against topspin was easy too. Personally, I think it's better to put it on a softer blade so you can use a wider variety of techniques. All Speed Spin Control Hardness Little soft
