Bought this as my first short pips rubber. 1.6mm, backhand.
My chops come off wickedly, and receives are easy too.
The variation is huge, so it's effective not just against opponents I'm facing for the first time but even against ones I play regularly.

Used this at 1.6mm on my backhand. It's a knuckle-type short pips rubber, but it grips the ball almost like an inverted rubber would. You can rattle off flicks and meet-hits like a machine gun with it. I'd recommend it for close-to-the-table attacking players who want to try short pips. If you get pushed back from the table, chopping is more stable than attacking. Another nice point is that since you can go thin with this rubber, it frees you up to use whatever rubber you like on your forehand. I think a composite blade suits it well.

Used this on the backhand of a chopper's racket. This is my second rubber since switching from long pips to short pips. First off, even though it has vertical pips and is meant for attacking, it's really stable and easy to control for both chops and pushes. That said, because of my own lack of skill, it doesn't spin much. It doesn't bounce a lot either, so attacking shots don't go in easily until you get used to it.

A light hit doesn't carry and loses speed (knuckle ball)

My blade needs to be light for me to play a fast, high-shot-count style of table tennis, so I use the Spin Ace Carbon, which has composite material in it.
So, hmm... what rubber would suit this hard blade?
After test-hitting a whole bunch of rubbers, the final three candidates I was left with were:
・Moristo SP
・Original T Version
・Spectrum S1
The one that didn't get too wild, that I could handle within my own skill level, and that still brought out at least a minimum of short pips character (speed, knuckle balls, etc.) was Spectrum S1.

Sponge thickness is max.
Overall, it felt easy to use for a short pips rubber.
As a first step for someone transitioning from inverted rubber to short pips, it's very easy to handle.
Spin
Serves get a decent amount of bite too.
When I used it for a backhand serve, my opponent misread the receive and told me it was a nice serve.
If you master high-toss serves too, you can produce spin that rivals Chinese tacky rubber.Bounce
Since it's non-tension but high-elasticity, it's honestly a bit lacking compared to the popular Moristo SP.
Driving through the ball is a little difficult.
It's better to aim for fast attacks that make the most of being a high-elasticity, speed-oriented short pips rubber.Control

With the max thickness, the wobble on knuckle balls felt lacking, honestly.
The amount of spin has gone up, but it didn't look like the ball was wobbling back with a knuckle effect.

I use Hurricane on my forehand, and the difference in spin between my forehand and backhand seems to really bother my opponents.
Stops, pushes, and other short-game shots are easy to do, and it's great for shaking the opponent up front-to-back and side-to-side.
That said, it sometimes slips when I do a backhand serve, so I can't recommend it for serving.All Speed Spin Control Hardness Little soft
