    Customer Reviews SummaryAI Summary
The balanced performance between Tenergy 05 and 64 is highly appreciated, with particular praise for stability and ease of use on the backhand. However, poor durability and high price are noted as major drawbacks.
    ■ Frequently Mentioned Points
    • Excellent balance combining 05's spin and 64's speed
    • Outstanding stability and ease of use on backhand
    • Exceptional at short-range techniques like chiquita
    • Strong all-around performance in rallies
    • Short durability and high price point
    ■ Representative Voices
▲ PositiveWhile Tenergy rubbers tend to have some sharp edges in performance, Tenergy 80 is perfectly balanced across all aspects. Both drive and block techniques, along with all skill levels, are easily improved.
▽ CriticalWhile it's a very good rubber, the high price and short lifespan are drawbacks. The topsheet wears easily, and the bounce diminishes within a month on the forehand side.

Up Down Service (Experience: 6〜10 years) My favorite Tenergy of them all

      Reviews by user

These days, more players worldwide use the 05 than the 80, but personally I like the 80 more than the 05. It has that classic "Tenergy" speed/bounce, plus spin that's almost as good as the 05. It's stable enough to do anything with. And then there's the durability... come on Butterfly, can't you do something about how quickly this thing wears out?

I have it on my forehand. It's just really easy to put spin on. From far off the table, it's almost as good as Tenergy 05.

Table Tennis Baka (Experience: 6〜10 years) The only choice for all-rounders

      Reviews by user

Mizutani described it as feeling like the best parts of the 64 and the 05 averaged together,
and I really think that's exactly right!
It doesn't spin as much as the 05 but it's faster, and it's not as fast as the 64 but it spins more!
In actual use, countering is really easy!
For anyone who plays an all-round style,
I don't think there's any rubber but this one!

I have it on my backhand. It's quite easy to use, but on the forehand I felt like the spin was a bit lacking. It's not that it doesn't spin at all — it's easy to put spin on. But personally, since I prioritize power and spin on my forehand, the 05 lets me hit topspin drives with a lot more spin, so for me the 05 was easier to use on the forehand. That said, on the backhand, this rubber's power, speed, and control far exceed the 05.

Adhesive User (Experience: 6〜10 years) Hmm...

      Reviews by user

I put this on the backhand of my Viscaria.
My first impression was that, within the Tenergy line, this one leans toward speed.
Since I use the 05, with the 80 I'm torn between whether I should brush it or hit it flat — it's a real toss-up.
That said, the high performance doesn't change. It should suit the backhand well.
Also, it's on the lighter side in weight, which makes it easy to handle — another one of its features.

      80 man (Experience: 4〜5 years)

      Reviews by user

Honestly, I felt I could use this at a higher level on my backhand rather than my forehand. On the forehand, the feel personally didn't suit me. As for how you have to hit it, well... you need a stroke that's somewhere between the 05 and the 64, so if you don't consciously adjust for that, the ball won't go in.
Which, obviously, makes you realize how amazing Mizutani is, lol — using it on both sides like that is impressive.
But on the backhand, honestly everything goes in. Both the short game and drives are flawless!

I thought this was a rubber that makes a particularly wide range of techniques easy, even among Tenergy rubbers. Both the speed and spin are balance-focused, so if you're torn between prioritizing spin or speed, I'd recommend this one.
