It makes total sense that Mizutani uses this.
It has just the right hardness — not too soft like Tenergy 64, not too hard like the 25.
By timing your counters, lobs, and drives to your opponent's shots, you can hit shots like a top player that your opponent can't return.
One thing to note: the rubber is heavy. Also, if you don't time your shots to your opponent's, you'll keep hitting long. At first the rubber's performance carries the shot, but since its lifespan is short, you'll need to keep adjusting your own play over time.All Speed Spin Control Hardness Little hard

The ball has great extension.
No complaints on speed either!
But the short game shots tend to fly off, haha (sweat drop)

I just can't handle it after all.
If you put it on your forehand, you need to be able to pull off loop drives, speed drives, and various other strokes at a high level. Same goes for the backhand. For beginners it can feel stiff and the ball sometimes flies off like a dead shot. But if you have a fast swing speed, I think it's a really great rubber. If your swing speed is slow, you're better off starting with something like the 64 FX.All Speed Spin Control Hardness Little hard

I've finally made my Tenergy debut (^-^) — or rather, everyone around me kept going on about Tenergy so much that I wanted to try it, and this was my first Tenergy purchase! On Butterfly's website it was listed as the Tenergy recommended for choppers, so I picked the 80! As for my impressions, honestly, it doesn't feel new. Though that might be because I set my own expectations too high.
The feel is like Rasant Power Grip and Grip mixed together, plus better stability and control, and the serves have a lot of bite. Attacking feels stable and satisfying, but for chopping I think Power Grip is more stable. Under normal circumstances I'd be very happy, but as I said, I built up my expectations too much, so I'm a bit conflicted. I guess it comes down to the price... I'll take good care of it and use it for a long time.

Personally, there are a lot of differences between Tenergy and other Tenergy-like rubbers, but one of them, I think, is the sheet thickness. Tenergy's topsheet is a bit thinner than others, which I think is why it transmits feedback to your hand and gives that distinctive ball-grip feel.
Among the Tenergy line, the 80 felt like it had that distinctive ball-grip in a moderate amount — not too strong, not too weak. The sheet also doesn't feel as hard as the 05, so both brushing the ball and letting it sink into the sponge were easy to do. That said, since it has good bounce, I think it's easier to use for players who like to swing aggressively and are good at topspin rallies, rather than players who like to break things open from the short game.All Speed Spin Control Hardness Little soft
