The pips are very thick, short, and densely packed, so it has both speed and insane spin. There isn't much variation in the ball's behavior, but for attacking play it's flawless! Performance that forehand short pips players will be satisfied with.

I used both max thickness and thick.
The pips are big, and it's easy to put spin on the ball.
Because the tension is strong, the ball comes off the rubber quickly, so even with big pips you can hit angled shots and flat hits without being affected too much by the opponent's spin.Above all, the sound when you hit the ball is so satisfying. It makes a sharp, metallic ring.
And it's not just the sound — the speed is also more than enough, letting you flat-hit with a really good feel.Since it's a spin-oriented rubber, blocking is basically easy. But because the rebound is so good, sometimes the ball flies out further than expected, causing net misses, or it comes out as an unexpected knuckle ball.
Then again, short pips play is inherently high-risk, high-reward, so that's within an acceptable range.If I had to name one downside, it's that it's picky about the blade you use.
Both the sponge and the topsheet are very springy, so if you put it on a hard blade, the ball comes off too fast and tends to drop or slide off.
That said, with a Chinese-style penhold or a shakehand blade, you can adjust things with the rubber on the reverse side, so it's not a huge problem.Also, officially it's not supposed to be the case, but I feel like the sponge is thicker than other companies' rubbers.
There might be some individual variation, but even the thick and medium versions feel like they have plenty of thickness.All Speed Spin Control Hardness Little hard

It's fast, it spins, and above all it flies! The bounce is fantastic! On top of that, it's a rubber that basically matches with any hard penhold short-pips blade!
That said, it takes some skill to handle.
I found the short game and blocking hard to control. But if you can master it, it's probably the strongest spin-oriented tension short pips out there!All Speed Spin Control Hardness Little soft

It's just really easy to use overall.
That said, it doesn't produce the nasty, tricky balls you'd expect from short pips.
Since it's easy for me to use, it's also easy for my opponent to read.
It doesn't bounce much, but it takes spin well.

I think the performance is good.
That said, it doesn't really feel like a short pips rubber.
It doesn't produce much knuckle, probably because the pips are big and packed tightly, so it feels a lot closer to inverted rubber.
I think it's good for someone switching over from inverted rubber, but personally I find myself thinking "then why not just use inverted?"
I bought it as my son's first short pips rubber, so that's what we're using it for.All Speed Spin Control Hardness Little soft

I play shakehand with inverted rubber on both sides.
Since putting this on my backhand, my receive mistakes have dropped dramatically, blocks create chances more easily, and I can even score with backhand smashes now!
Out of all the rubbers I've tried over the years, this is the one that suits my backhand best.
In particular, I can return pushes cleanly down the line, and it's easy to curve returns using sidespin pushes against the opponent's backspin serves.
After practicing with this rubber, switching to Attack 8 felt more stable. It also seems like a good rubber to start with if you're new to short pips.All Speed Spin Control Hardness Little soft

The first thing I noticed was how much it bounces! Even a light touch sends the ball flying at insane speed. It's easy to flick receives and lift the ball, and you get amazing speed doing it. And if that's what happens on a smash...
Also, for a short pips rubber, it's easy to put spin on and it felt quite sensitive to the opponent's spin as well.
Even though it takes spin, that doesn't mean you lose the knuckle ball — mixing topspin drives with flat hits lets you score off the gap between heavy spin and knuckle balls.
Surprisingly, I think it suits not just attacking players but choppers too.
It's easy to produce sharp, low, heavily spinning shots, so opponents couldn't really hit hard against it. As a chopper you can also keep the ball under control fairly well, and with a bit of practice it's easy to handle. I'd really recommend trying it whether you're an attacker or a chopper.All Speed Spin Control Hardness Soft
