Used on the forehand of my Chinese penhold blade.
I'd been using tension rubber, but I switched to a tacky rubber. I had the image that it wouldn't fly well, but
when I put a solid impact into the shot, it came out faster than I expected.
When I drive the ball, it clears the net on a flat, low trajectory, and after landing in my opponent's court
it sinks down even further. My opponents kept swinging and missing, and it seemed hard for them to handle.Also, the overshooting misses I used to get with tension rubber have gone way down,
the short game and blocking are easy to do too, with good power on counters - I really like it!
Naturally, serves, chops, and pushes bite really well too.You don't get much power unless you really hit through the ball, so

The sharpness of the chop is good too — since drive speed went up, it's become easier to switch from chopping into attacking.

Given its reputation for speed, it bounces plenty for a tacky rubber. It also gets great spin, and it's truly a rubber made for penhold players. Great whether you sink the ball in or brush it — an absolutely top-notch rubber.

It flies well, and among tacky rubbers I found it soft and easy to handle once I actually hit with it. It is fairly easy to be affected by the opponent's spin though.

This was my first tacky rubber, but since I already hit with a graze/brush contact, I got used to it on day one.Meaty flat hits don't produce much speed, but if you brush the ball, you can hit drives with high quality in both speed and spin. If you don't use your wrist, the ball comes out flat and spinless.
If you carelessly leave your racket face open, you'll overshoot badly. Controlling the ball when you want to hit a good shot is on the harder side.Controlling brushed loop drives is difficult.
Lifting chopped balls is easy too, which gives a sense of security.The short game overall is easy to handle, and the various wrist-based receives typical of Japanese penhold are easy too. Serves get good spin and the length is easy to control.
Overall, aside from the difficulty controlling drives, I'd rate it highly.

I wondered if a 1-degree difference would really make that much difference, but I was curious so I gave it a try.Going by my own feel, converting the official hardness to German hardness, 39 degrees comes out to roughly 47.5-50, and 40 degrees to around 52.5-55 — surprisingly hard.
When I pinch both rubbers between my fingers, the 47.5-degree rubber on the other side (Omega 7 Pro) feels noticeably softer.Overall, the power goes up. Control goes down a bit.
Basically it just feels like the same rubber made harder — which makes sense since it's the same rubber, of course.
The racket itself got 3-5g heavier. Whether that bothers you depends on the person.

Chinese penhold forehand, black, 39-degree 2.2mm.
Pushes, blocks, drives... whatever technique you use, it packs power. It's a really excellent rubber.
What's especially easy is the flick. It's surprisingly easy to flick for a tacky rubber. This is truly a rubber made for penhold loopers.
For a tacky rubber, it produces good speed. Even hitting from away from the table, the ball still gets there properly.
One more thing — I said earlier that the spin was so-so, but once you get used to it, it actually generates quite a lot of spin.
In that sense it's a rubber with a bit of a quirk to it.
Also, it's lighter than you'd expect given the hardness, and it sinks in nicely, making it easy to hit.
As for how to hit it — swinging in a big, sweeping circular motion like Xu Xin produced good shots for me.All Speed Spin Control Hardness Little hard
