Hurricane 8 is a new generation of sticky-speed rubber. The rubber keeps a good balance between flexibility and elasticity. A new high-density sponge with ‘MARCO-CELL’ & ‘High-Elasticity Particle Osmosis technology’ helps Hurricane 8 raise the elasticity by 15%. The player can also acquire a high shot speed with weak attack. I used it on my backhand. It's soft for a Hurricane rubber, not many people use Hurricane on their backhand, but the 8 is soft and flies really well. My impression was that if your impact is even a little weak, you don't get a good ball out of it. That said, it's perfectly good overall, just not something I'd make my main rubber.

The feel is just a bit softer than the Neo 3, and honestly the speed and bounce are hard to tell apart.

It's a really good rubber.
It doesn't smell and it's easy to use.
The only thing is, it's kind of a minor brand so stores don't carry it, and I've since found an even better rubber, the DNA Pro H, so... it's a bit of a mixed bag.All Speed Spin Control Hardness Hard

First off, the rubber has such a nice shine that it almost makes you not want to use it. I switched over from Turbo Blue, and maybe because it's softer, it flies more easily. Spin goes without saying, but I also felt the speed reaches a pretty high level for a Hurricane rubber. It puts out tremendous power on both smashes and drives (enough to scare my junior teammates). It's not pre-tuned, so I'd recommend it.

I'm a 9th grader who plays at the prefectural tournament level. I love Hurricane rubbers, and I'd been using the Neo 2 with layers of glue for a while, but something felt lacking, so I switched to the 8.
For topspin drives, I'd recommend the light grazing contact style Chinese players use. Compared to the Neo series, it puts insane power and spin on the ball, and it makes that satisfying "clack!" sound unique to tacky rubbers. It feels great to hit lol. But it does take some getting used to. For a while I had so much grip on the ball that I kept sending my drives flying off the table lol.
I'm a chopper, and my chops stop dead too. The amount of spin is insane. Anyone reading this, try it and you'll see how amazing this rubber is!All Speed Spin Control Hardness Hard

I used to use Rasanter R42, but it bounced too much, so I switched to this rubber. There's no real feeling of putting spin on the ball, but it grips a ton anyway. This was my first time using a tacky rubber. I'd like a bit more bounce, and if it had more arc it'd be perfect.

I'm using this now because it's DHS's tacky rubber made for the plastic ball.
From here on, a comparison with the Neo 3.
Speed: Neo3 < Hurricane 8
Spin: Neo3 > Hurricane 8
Serve: Neo3 = Hurricane 8
For overall power, the Hurricane 8 is the one that punches through in one shot, but it's harder to lift and grind the ball from a low contact point the way you can with the Neo 3. Still, it makes up nicely for the Neo 3's weak points.All Speed Spin Control Hardness Little hard
