Yasaka can offer a table tennis rubber with a very sticky top sheet combined with a rather hard sponge.
The sticky rubber makes it easy to control the topspin, serves and short cut returns.
The tension of the sponge creates outstanding speed.

Even though being a sticky Chinese rubber SHINING DRAGON is light-weighted.

    Customer Reviews SummaryAI Summary
Highly rated among sticky rubbers for its lightweight and ease of use, especially recommended for beginners and intermediate players transitioning from tension rubbers. However, power-oriented advanced players find it lacking in power and force.
    ■ Frequently Mentioned Points
    • Lightweight for a sticky rubber, making it easy to handle
    • Excellent spin performance with stable drive shots
    • Effective for point-scoring via short-court techniques and blocking
    • Ideal for beginners transitioning from tension rubbers, but limited attacking power
    • Compatibility varies depending on blade hardness; proper blade selection is crucial
    ■ Representative Voices
▲ PositiveDespite being light, it flies well and generates tremendous spin on serves. Easy to transition from tension rubbers and versatile for everything from short-court techniques to attacking shots.
▽ CriticalDisappointing compared to the previous Shoiryu model. Spin performance is mediocre with uninspiring, linear ball trajectory lacking sticky rubber characteristics. Power players should choose Shoiryu or Rakza Z instead.

Seiya (Experience: 2〜3 years) Good as a second rubber

      Reviews by user

I used this after switching from Flextra! This is my second sheet, and it can do everything — pushes, stops, flicks and the rest of the short game, loop drives, hitting against backspin, you name it! This is good, so good!

AIUEO (Experience: Less than a year) Tried a friend's

      Reviews by user

      I test-hit a friend's racket.
      I normally use Mark V.
When I bounced the ball on it, I felt like, wow, it's light but flies pretty well.
When I tried serving, the spin was insane!
Since it's light, the control is good too.

      Anonymous (Experience: 2〜3 years) Half-baked

      Reviews by user

I switched over to Nittaku. Honestly, it didn't suit me. It feels more like a step-up rubber for women or beginners? If a power player like me uses it, you'll regret it even on the backhand. For power players, I'd recommend Shoryu on both sides, or Rakza Z (extra hard is fine too).

Since the previous version, Shoryu, was a masterpiece, this is a pretty big letdown.

      The spin performance is mediocre.
Speed is definitely easy to generate, but it's flat and none of the tacky-rubber goodness comes through at all.

The good point is that it's light.
      Maybe usable on the backhand.

For the same price, I'd definitely buy Shoryu instead.

Good Yuda who likes adhesive tension (Experience: 2〜3 years) This is... a revolution!!

      Reviews by user

This was the first tacky-tension rubber I ever used. It also pairs great with carbon blades — I'd say it's right in that sweet spot of not flying too much and not flying too little. On top of that, the short game like stops is really easy to do, and the ball is super fast when you take a full swing!! Also, it still goes in even with somewhat unreasonable strokes, so it gives you a strong sense of security! If you can't handle a really heavy tacky rubber, definitely give this a try! Just be careful, once you're hooked you can't get out!! P.S. It's on the softer side for a tacky rubber, so don't worry about that (w)

Overall, you can hit balls that are hard for your opponent to handle. Since it's tacky, it's hard to hit really fast balls, but the amount of spin makes up for that. When you hit a topspin drive, the ball dips down sharply and becomes hard for the opponent to handle. Even on serves, the ball is hard to return even if the opponent reads the spin.
Overall, I'd recommend it to anyone who wants a lot of spin or wants to induce mistakes from their opponent.

All four sides (Experience: 4〜5 years) Easy to use

      Reviews by user

I put this on switching over from a tension rubber, and it felt fine with no real discomfort. The tackiness is decent too, and it felt easy to use. I think it's a good one for getting a feel for the basics of tacky rubbers. Once I get used to it, I want to try a more tacky rubber like Shoryu.
