Yasaka can offer a table tennis rubber with a very sticky top sheet combined with a rather hard sponge.
The sticky rubber makes it easy to control the topspin, serves and short cut returns.
The tension of the sponge creates outstanding speed.Even though being a sticky Chinese rubber SHINING DRAGON is light-weighted.

This surprised me. First off, it's light! Just like the rumors said, it's a pretty revolutionary tacky rubber! Way to go, Yasaka!
And best of all, it's easy to use and you get used to it right away. For women, it's a really strong weapon on the forehand. Easy to put spin on and good grip on the ball. This is a good rubber.All Speed Spin Control Hardness Little soft

A friend switched to Kiryu, so he lent it to me.
First off, my basic strokes kept catching the net. I'd been using Rozena, and it showed a bit of a tacky feel.
That said, with drives the ball came in low and sharp.
It felt the same on the backhand.
Personally, I felt the best approach was to attack from chiquita and shots like that.
I don't think it suits players who play at mid-distance or away from the table.All Speed Spin Control Hardness Little hard

It's marketed as a tacky tension rubber, but the tension side is strong. The tackiness has a slightly sticky feel, but nowhere near as much as Hurricane 3.
So even though it's tacky, it's quite bouncy, and I felt like I could get solid spin on it.
It's not that hard to handle, so I think it's a good choice for a first tacky rubber.All Speed Spin Control Hardness Little soft

I'd been curious about this one for a while, so I tried it. This is the red, max thickness, by the way.
My first impression hitting with it was, well, it bounces a bit? But it's not a flyer — Shoryu might actually bounce more...
The drive was easy to swing since the rubber itself is light. As for spin... I feel like this C1 grips a bit more, actually. Hmm... it's hard to put a lot of power into a single shot, so this one's better suited to grinding out points with quick, repeated hits, taking advantage of the light weight. That said, it doesn't spin all that much, and instead of that distinctive tacky-rubber trajectory you get from something like Hurricane, it's closer to a tension rubber, so I wouldn't recommend it to tacky-rubber users.
But! When I tried countering with it, it was so easy!! Just a small swing and out comes a sharp shot. That's really nice.
Bottom line: there's nothing that feels hard to do with this rubber. It doesn't have one-shot power, but it's easy to set up a counter off a series of quick hits close to the table. It might be worth trying at least once.All Speed Spin Control Hardness Little soft

I bought this because it's described as a lightly tacky tension rubber.
True to that description, it was pretty much a tension rubber.It felt very similar to a rubber called Hurricane 3-50.
It doesn't easily produce that nasty tacky-style ball, so I'd recommend Shoryu instead if that's what you're after.That said, if you're just after raw spin, Shining Dragon should do the job fine!

It's light! Seriously impressive!
I don't think there's another rubber out there with this much grip and this little weight.Because the surface is tacky, the ball comes up easily. It really widens what you can do on the backhand (though honestly the spin performance isn't that great).
Actually, the best thing about this rubber is countering. Balls you'd normally just block can turn into a fast counter with just a small swing. It's that easy.
Blocking feels a little unstable. I'd suggest mixing in shorts or just going for the counter instead.
It's a pretty niche, ambitious rubber from Yasaka, but I think it's a perfect match on the backhand of a Chinese-penhold blade. I'm using it happily.

This is the perfect rubber for Chinese-rubber users who want more speed, or tension-rubber users who want more spin.
Compared to a Chinese rubber, the hardness is lower, so it's easier to control.
That said, it doesn't have the sticky feel typical of Chinese rubbers — the tackiness is only light.
If you're considering switching from Chinese to tension, or tension to Chinese, definitely give this a try — you won't regret it.All Speed Spin Control Hardness Little soft
