Z2 has a long, thin pimple structure and a large pored sponge. This 47.5° medium hard sponge is ideal for many players. One feels the storm and its power with the first contact and can direct use this energy where one wants. Great speed, enormous rebound, with excellent spin and speed characteristics.
A concentrated demolition charge!

I put this on my forehand. It feels a bit softer than the Z1. The Z1 has more speed, but personally I find it easier to get spin on drives and serves with this one. It's especially easy to do short game techniques like the flick.

I wanted to change the rubber on my forehand, and since this was a relatively cheap new release, I bought it to try out. Maybe because of how the sheet is built, it doesn't feel as hard as its sponge hardness rating would suggest. My impression was more of a medium hardness. It puts on solid spin, but its real selling point is definitely speed. Rasanter V47 is probably in the same category, but if the feel suits you, Bluestorm offers better value for money since it's more reasonably priced.

Once you get used to it, your forehand drive becomes insanely fast. No issues with spin on serves either. If I had to name a downside, it'd be the push — not that it floats up, but it just doesn't seem to travel. I think that's probably down to my own technique though. I'd recommend it for attacking-style players.

I put it on the forehand of a Kenta Matsudaira ALC.
Pros
- Flies well
I used Tenergy 05 before, and this was faster than the 05. It had real power on the ball too.
- Strong spin
The spin is strong enough to hold its own against Tenergy 05. I personally use a crouching serve, and because the spin is so strong, the ball curved quite a lot.Cons

I use it on my forehand. The balance between spin and speed is good, and shots go in consistently. The short game is especially easy with it.

I planned to buy the entire Bluestorm lineup as soon as I saw them at the exhibition. After comparing all of them, I felt like this one sits right in the middle of the Bluestorm range. It gives more distance than Fastarc. The spin performance was about the same or slightly below. In short, it's below Fastarc and above Factive.

The good point is that you can use all kinds of techniques at a high level with it. The only downside is that it's affected by incoming spin.
It was good enough that I found myself wondering, do you really need an expensive Tenergy? It might also just be a good match with a blade from the same maker.
I bought a STIGA Mantra S at the same time and put it on the other side, so I compared the two.
- The Z2 has more grip on the ball, more spin, and the trajectory arcs a bit more, which also makes it more controllable.
- The Mantra S has the edge in absolute speed, but the Z2 feels like it keeps extending after it touches the ball.
- For the short game and small technical shots, the Mantra flies more and is harder to handle, so the Z2 was easier there.
- The Z2 is easy to use on both forehand and backhand, while the Mantra S is good on the forehand but hard to use on the backhand.
- The Z2 suits spin-oriented drive players. The Mantra S might be more for flat hitters like smashers?
Overall, for balance and ease of use, I personally give the edge to the Z2. That said, considering the price, the powerful hitting sound and speed, and spin on par with the Z2, the Mantra S is pretty good too. Depending on the player, the Mantra S might actually suit you better, in which case it could win out on value for money.All Speed Spin Control Hardness Little soft
