Hurricane 2 keeps the powerful style since Wang Liqin won the Olympic Games Championship in 2000. Hurricane 2 can create much higher speed and spin whilst maintaining stable control. In addition, it generates strong near-table offensive power to make the ball fly in a low arc which frustrates opponent's defenses.

Hurricane 2 enhances the spin of 40+ Celluloid-Free T.T. balls..

I think the power is built to be a bit on the restrained side, but you can hit stable topspin drives with it. If all you want is spin, no problem there — the spin is amazing. I only borrowed it and used it briefly, though, so that's about all I can say.

Even among Hurricane rubbers, this one doesn't fly much, right? If it doesn't carry this little on the forehand, I think it suits players who like to keep the rally going close to the table. For players who like to attack with drives, Neo 3, Pro 3, or Pro 3 Turbo Orange are the better Hurricane picks.

I think this is a mid-tier rubber within the Hurricane lineup. Close to the table, your drives get good bounce and speed, but once you step back the ball doesn't travel far, so I wouldn't recommend it for playing away from the table. Choppers are a different story, though.

This rubber feels like a Hurricane Neo 2 / Pro 2 with the bounce toned down. It brings stability to chops, drives, and serves. If you're after a balance of offense and defense, this is the one.

I think if you don't have a feel for grazing the ball, you won't get any spin at all with this rubber, but if you do have that grazing feel, you can hit shots with a tremendous amount of spin.
I'd recommend it to die-hard tacky rubber users.
That said, it's very different from a soft tacky tension rubber, so it's best to think of it as a completely different kind of rubber.

Table Tennis Chopper (Experience: 4〜5 years) The original Hurricane

      Reviews by user

I used this after the Hurricane Neo 3, and chopping is very stable with it. That said, the sponge is hard, so you have to graze the ball to get it to bite. For attacking, it doesn't fly as much as the Neo 3. I think it would fly more with a thicker glue application. It's quite sensitive to incoming spin, so countering is a bit tough. On receive, the ball really dies. Blocks also tend to come back with odd spin, so I think opponents find them hard to handle too.

      My first Chinese rubber.
      This thing is wild.
It doesn't bounce. Like, barely bounces at all. And it's insanely hard.
But countering is easy, serves bite like crazy, and pushes, stops, and loop drives all carry ridiculous spin.
If you've got the physical strength for it, I bet you can get some really fast shots out of it.
