Borrowed a friend's to try it out.
First thing I noticed — the grip is insane.
No real speed, but it covers everything from over-the-table play to mid-distance.
A rubber I'd recommend for an intermediate player's backhand.
Beginners or people who aren't confident in their power could even use it on the forehand. All Speed Spin Control Hardness Soft

A really easy-to-use rubber. I've got it on a Reinforce SI, and the bounce of the rubber and the bounce of the blade line up nicely, so the ball comes off with a great sound. It also holds spin well, and honestly I think it stands out above everything else in this price range. But most of all, it's just so easy to use. The sponge isn't too hard or too soft, it's just right, and the ball really sinks into the top sheet. Honestly, once you've switched to this, there's no going back.

Put it on my backhand — it solved every technical worry I had about my backhand. The stability and ease of use are outstanding. The ball lifts up in a way that's almost strange. It's got a decent amount of spin too.

Ever since switching to penhold, I've been lost when it comes to backhand rubber, wandering around equipment choices for three years... and I finally found it!
Honestly, compared to popular tension rubbers like Tenergy, Fastarc, Rozena, or Rakza, Rigan's spin is at the very bottom of the barrel. It really doesn't grip much, and it doesn't have much speed either.
But it's more manageable and stable than any tension rubber out there. Stability is what matters! Consistency over one big shot! It's plenty for an intermediate player. All Speed Spin Control Hardness Little soft

I used to be really bad at backhand.
My forehand, on the other hand, is my strong point, so I've got an intermediate/advanced level rubber on that side.
But my backhand... that's why I switched to this rubber, which is popular with backhand beginners. It's made a big difference. If you're weak on the backhand, I think this rubber works.
If you want a rubber to cover up your weakness, there might be a few other options, but if you actually want to improve your backhand technique, I think it's this or Vega Europe, no question. The spin really bites too — it's an amazing rubber! All Speed Spin Control Hardness Soft

[Ball speed]
I think it's on the faster side for this price range.
- For light hits, the rubber is quite soft so it feels like it flies even more than the higher-end Rakza X
- Even on hard hits, it doesn't lose speed the way soft rubbers usually do
[Spin performance]
This is where the rubber struggles, I think.
- Drives and serves don't grip much, so even at high speed the ball feels light
- Same goes for stops and pushes
[Overall thoughts and more]
△ Since it's basically soft, stops and pushes tend to float
○ Easy to use overall, with good grip and control
◎ Light weight and great value for money
Angle adjustment is tricky and the weight can be a concern, so I'd recommend it for the backhand on a mid-weight penhold blade! All Speed Spin Control Hardness Soft
