I picked up a paddle again for the first time in 20 years, got a new one, and I've been having a lot of fun.
20 years ago I used Mark V.
I was looking for a rubber with high control, torn between Katel Soft and Rigan, and went with the latter.
It has speed, yet the ball goes exactly where I want it to. It feels great.All Speed Spin Control Hardness Little hard

For a tension rubber, this price and potential make it a real "game-changer."
Yasaka has Rakza, but this one holds its own just fine against it.
Depending on the individual unit it can feel a little on the hard side, but it's still light enough to swing all the way through, so it's fine.

I've got this rubber on my backhand. It was the very first rubber I ever bought, so I was a bit worried, but backspin balls lift up really well on the backhand, and chiquita and backhand drives were super easy to pull off. Honestly, I'd highly recommend it as a first rubber.

I used the 1.8mm version.
Both the sheet and sponge are soft, and the sheet itself is pretty insensitive.
It's well known as a beginner-friendly "spin tension" rubber because it's so easy to handle.Because the sheet is insensitive, you can get receives in even without setting the angle very precisely.
On the other hand, the ceiling on spin and speed is low, and the trajectory tends to be flat.
Once your topspin drives with this rubber have become stable but keep getting returned, or you feel like you can't hit through your opponent, that's your cue to move on to the next rubber.In conclusion, if you're going to use this, it's probably best as your very first rubber.

Used on the forehand side (medium thickness). It's moderately soft, with a good feel on contact and good control. Opponents tell me my topspin drives have a lot of spin on them. You can also hit crisp, snappy shots with it. It's also somewhat insensitive to incoming spin, so blocks are stable, and on receives it feels like it goes in even if you just set a rough angle. Overall it's a good rubber.

Used mainly on the backhand
I'll write this comparing it to Rigan Spin and Rakza 7.
① Weight
Lighter than Rigan Spin or Rakza
I'd recommend it to people who want to keep the racket's weight down on the backhand side
There's individual variation, but for me it changed by about 5 grams
② Spin performance
My impression is that Rigan Spin generates more spin
*This may partly be a matter of technique, but when you sink the ball deep into the rubber and drive through, it doesn't get all that much spin
③ Speed performance
Since it's softer than Rigan Spin, it feels faster
④ Arc
Fairly flat/direct
The ball tends to land shallow, so you might get countered a lot・・・
⑤ Control
Soft and easy to use
The ball tends to land shallow, so it's hard to adjust the depth
⑥ Overall
I think this is a rubber that's quite easy to use overall.
I'd recommend it to people who are worried about the weight on the backhand side of a penhold, or on a shakehand blade.
