This is really great! I think every beginner would be fine with this! Drives are easy to do, and chops are easy to do too! It would be perfect if there were more thickness options...
It's perfect as a first rubber, and even intermediate players can use it on the backhand as a great control rubber! I'd recommend it for choppers too!All Speed Spin Control Hardness Little soft

As expected, this is best used on the backhand.
Blocking drives is easy to do. However, for serves, things like backspin don't seem to bite as much spin as I'd expect.
I like to vary the spin on my serves, so this hasn't quite become a rubber I want to keep using, but if you play a control-focused game, it might turn out to be a good rubber for you.
Overall, it's an easy rubber to use. In other words, it's a rubber with no real quirks. All Speed Spin Control Hardness Little soft

The Battle of Minoshima! Light tension rubber for beginners

Since it's marketed as a light tension rubber, it has a decent amount of bounce.
Because of that, if you pair it with a single-ply blade that already gives you bounce and let the rubber add a bit more on top, you can drive with confidence.
It also generates plenty of spin and holds up well, so it should be fine for beginners for quite a while.

Masato Tanaka 00 A new standard for beginners!

Great for gluing onto the backside of a penholder blade if you want to keep the weight down.
It also grips the ball more than high-bounce rubbers, so it's perfect for beginners just starting out with backside play.
I think I'll stick with this for a while as I work on polishing my backside technique.

As a first rubber, this is my top recommendation for both forehand and backhand.
The sponge is a bit hard for beginners at 45°, but the sheet is soft, making this an easy rubber to handle overall.
The bounce is about the same as a 1.8mm Rigan, but the ease of putting spin on the ball is on a completely different level.
On top of that, the sheet is sensitive enough that I think it's easy to learn how to read and handle spin from the opponent. And with all that performance, the list price being under 4000 yen makes it great value for money.
This is quality that could easily be sold for 5000-6000 yen.The disappointing point is that it's only sold domestically in 1.6mm.
If they added a lineup up to 2.0mm, I think this rubber is good enough to capture most of the beginner market share.Beginners, please definitely give this one a try.

These days, tension rubbers have become the norm, so a moderately tensioned rubber like this, which even beginners can handle easily, is a perfect first rubber.
True to being marketed as a light-tension rubber, it has a moderate bounce and softness, making it quite easy to use.
Both spin and control are satisfying, so I think if you build up your skills with this one first, moving on to a full tension rubber later should be easy. All Speed Spin Control Hardness Little soft

This is seriously easy to use!
If you're not sure what to get, I think this is a safe choice.
