For reasons of my own I switched to playing left-handed, and this is the rubber I've used since then. Before Rigan Spin I was using Vega X and Vega Europe, but every technique is easier with Rigan Spin. Vega X has more power, but Rigan Spin is better for placement. The soft, ball-grabbing sponge combined with a slightly firmer, springy topsheet creates just the right balance. It produces high-spin serves and drives, and blocks that never break down. This time I used thick on both sides, and it doesn't bounce as much as your typical tension rubber around that thickness — that's probably the appeal of the Rigan series. On the backhand it goes in even with a full swing, and the short game is easy too. On the forehand, it handles everything: close-to-the-table exchanges over the table, mid-distance topspin rallies, lobbing from away from the table, and counter-attacking after that. I put it on an inner-ply blade and everything felt well rounded. On a 5-ply blade the control gets even better, and on a 7-ply blade it feels easier to use while still getting speed — I imagine outer-carbon blades would be similar. I'd recommend this rubber to gear nerds or anyone looking for a rubber that can do everything. I think it can meet all sorts of other needs too.

The consistency is incredible.
Drives sometimes come out shallow, but the ball just goes in on its own when you swing, so you can really swing away with confidence. It's different from Tenergy and the like, but it has a bit of an "auto" feel to it. The short game is great — it stops well, grips well, and flicks well. Even though it's not that sensitive to spin, it still grabs the ball well. The way it lifts backspin is amazing. The amount of spin you get is insane. The speed, though, isn't great. I dig the ball in hard, so when I try to add speed, I can't shake the feeling of hitting a plank. Well, the spin makes up for that, so I think it's plenty high-performing for people moving on from Mark V or looking for consistency. If you want even more performance, I think switching to the Rakza series or the Hexer Grip series would be a good move.

It's easy to put spin on, and since it doesn't bounce too much, serves are easy to produce too.
I'm an attacking chopper, and I found the control good and the chops easy to do.But as your skills improve, you might start to feel it's a bit lacking... I think it's just right up to around intermediate level!

This is the forehand rubber on the first racket I ever built from scratch.
As someone who's basically a beginner, I was surprised by how much spin it gets and how well it flicks the ball. I don't really know the going rate for rubbers, but looking at other options, I was surprised how cheap this is for the performance you get. I'd recommend this to intermediate players.
Since the spin performance is higher than Rigan, it lacks a bit in speed and stability.
But the spin on this thing is insane.
If you switch to this after using Rigan, you'll really feel the difference lol

I have it on both sides. Max thickness.
It grips a good amount of spin, the control is great, the value for money is great — I think it's a really good rubber.
Chopping, pushing, and driving are all easy, it's stable, and the spin is on the stronger side too, so good all around.
When you hit a topspin drive, it makes this "kiii" sound, like "yeah, that's got spin on it."
It's similar to the sound of the Hurricane.
That said, I'd like a bit more speed on a normal flat hit.
I've got a gorilla-strength arm, so I can force my way through that, but
if you're going to buy something in this range, I think rubbers like the Fastarc G1, Hurricane Turbo Blue, Turbo Orange, Neo 3, Dignics, Tenergy, or Rasanter are better choices. Still, for the value for money at this level of performance, no complaints.
This rubber suits all playing distances. So I'd recommend it if you want a stable, all-round game.All Speed Spin Control Hardness Little soft
