The true value of this rubber is its absurdly long lifespan.
With German rubbers in the ¥10,000+ range, it's common to hear things like "fresh out of the box with high impact, it beats Dignics,"
but most of them lose performance drastically within a month regardless.
With Dignics 09C, the sheet doesn't have too short a lifespan — it easily lasts around 3 months, and even after it wears down its performance
still surpasses some so-called high-end rubbers, so buying and sticking with this one ends up being cheaper in the long run.
On top of that performance, it's light, and despite its hardness it isn't too hard and stays stable, solving basically every drawback that comes with the territory of high-end rubbers.
There are plenty of foreign rubbers priced over ¥10,000, but unless you specifically love the feel or have the money to keep buying them,
honestly I don't feel any need to reach for them, and I wouldn't recommend them to others.
Unless the fundamental rules of table tennis, like the ball or table size, get changed, I predict this will remain dominant, unrivaled, for another ten years.
I think it's fair to say that competitive table tennis in the Reiwa era, not just with 09C, boils down to "a sport of training yourself to handle Dignics."

I switched over from Hurricane NEO3. Let me compare the two.
Speed: Hurricane NEO3 < Dignics 09C
Spin: Hurricane NEO3 > Dignics 09C
Short game: Hurricane NEO3 > Dignics 09C
Hitting against backspin: Hurricane NEO3 > Dignics 09C
Countering: Hurricane NEO3 > Dignics 09C
I'm a mid-distance player, so I bought this wanting more speed than Hurricane, but this basically just felt like a regular tension rubber. It's completely different from Hurricane. There wasn't a huge difference in the short game, but Hurricane was easier to use there too. The arc was also better with Hurricane. Hitting against backspin was also more stable with Hurricane. Where I felt the most difficulty was countering — maybe because the sheet is sensitive or the ball sinks in easily, but I kept getting overpowered by the opponent's spin and hitting the ball long. If you want to boost speed while sticking with Hurricane, it seems better to go with Hurricane Pro 3 Turbo Orange or Hurricane 8-80. But if you're using Tenergy or Dignics and want more spin, I think this is the best choice.All Speed Spin Control Hardness Little soft

Using it on the forehand. Since it's tacky, the ball lifts up quite a lot. When you get the impact right, you get an incredibly good shot. Recommended for people confident in their impact.

I always struggled against choppers, but ever since switching to this rubber, I can lift chopped balls! I've started beating choppers. Backspin comes right up!
On the other hand, though, this rubber's compatibility with the blade matters a lot — personally it didn't go well with an all-wood blade. Backspin wouldn't come up. I couldn't even hit against chops...
The combo I found worked well was with a Harimoto Inner ALC — that pairing was spot on. I think it's a combination that works well for anyone, no matter who uses it!

This rubber just grabs a ton of spin, no matter what.
It works with any blade.
It works with all-wood, outer-carbon, or inner-carbon blades.
Personally I think outer-carbon is best
because it doesn't fly as much as a regular tension rubber.

I recently joined my company's table tennis club, and at first I bought and used Tenergy 05 on an Innerforce ALC.S. Then one day, while digging through the closet at home, I unearthed the Timo Boll ALC I used back in my student days. I never really used it well back then, but it felt like a waste to just leave it, so, matching the setup of Timo Boll, my favorite player, I put on Dignics 09C and tried it — and I was stunned by how it felt. Even with sloppy swings, sharp shots go in one after another. Even on my weak backhand, the ball seems to land in the opponent's court on its own — to the point that I could win love games against opponents I used to have close matches with using Tenergy 05. If a player with a decent foundation uses this, the rubber alone seems like it could bump their skill level up by 2-3 ranks — it's that high-performance. If a rubber like this had existed back in my student days, I probably would have kept playing table tennis all the way, aiming to go pro.

Dignics 09C is insane.
The harder you swing this rubber, the more speed you get, first and foremost. Honestly, it doesn't feel like a slightly tacky rubber at all — it has speed that surpasses high-tension rubbers.
And the spin is ridiculous. It doesn't feel like a slightly tacky rubber — it's honestly at a national-level Hurricane kind of level.
As for control, I think it's one of the easier Dignics rubbers to handle. Honestly it's about as manageable as Glayzer 09C.
The feel on contact is great — it really feels like you're hitting the ball properly.
When you grab the ball it feels grippy, and when you hit it, it makes a sharp, crisp sound.
Honestly, I liked this better than 05 and the others.
It's one of my recommended rubbers, so please give it a try.
