Despite being semi-tacky, you can get as much power out of it as a tension rubber, or even more.
Chops are easy to cut sharply too, but a defense-focused chopper might overshoot when going on the attack with this.All Speed Spin Control Hardness Little soft

When plastic balls came in, I kept training expecting a rubber to eventually show up that combined both spin and speed,
but it never really appeared - if it had, that performance could have shown up at the Olympics, maybe? The 09C is exactly the kind of rubber that gives you that hope!
It's easy to put spin on the ball, yet it's barely affected by the opponent's spin - especially with receives, where a ball that lands dead on the spot can make your opponent wonder if their own serve had any spin at all!
Drive spin comes on even with a compact swing and easily clears the net!
With blocks, holding back that bounce lets you kill the opponent's momentum!
Even when you can't hit from a good position, you can still return a lively ball, so you can handle your racket with confidence!
It's one of the rare rubbers that suits any playing level!
The stiffer the blade, the more the rubber's performance comes out! My outer-carbon blade lets me use the 09C like it's an extension of my hand!

This is a review from a chopper's perspective.
I'm currently using a blade that's on the bouncier side for a chopper's blade, with the sponge in Hard thickness.
Honestly, chops stay on the table better than with VS401.
The tackiness also creates a spin differential, and it's easy to control too.
As for topspin drives, no complaints. The best.
I don't think there are many rubbers that pull off both defense and offense this well.
Also, curve drives and counters from far behind the table got a lot easier.
It's a rubber that works plenty well for choppers too. I'd recommend giving it a try at least once!All Speed Spin Control Hardness Little hard

With light hits it did feel like it doesn't bounce much, but the moment I put spin on the ball I was surprised at how much it sprang back. It's a fantastic rubber that has the spin and nastiness of a tacky rubber while still keeping the bounce and feel of a tension rubber. I think it's the perfect first rubber for high-tension users looking to switch over to tacky rubbers.

It really feels like every manufacturer has finally entered the tacky-tension era.
Starting with Yasaka's tacky-tension rubber, I've used pretty much every type of tacky-tension rubber out there, and this really has the feel that makes you think "yeah, that's Butterfly for you."
If you hit it properly, you get both spin and speed.
The amount of spin on serves is ridiculous.
Over the table it doesn't bounce much and stays under control - nothing to complain about (lol).
That said, I don't think you can bring out the rubber's full spec without solid impact on the shot.
If you're confident in your swing speed, this is a sheet that's guaranteed to satisfy once you try it.All Speed Spin Control Hardness Little hard

Max thickness, 50g, and I used it on both forehand and backhand against Dignics 05.
Good points compared to my usual Dignics 05:
1. Even when the contact point drops below the table, the arc unique to tacky rubbers lets you still bring it into a speed drive
2. Easier to sink the ball into and easier to handle than Dignics 05, Tenergy 05 Hard, or Spinart
3. The short game really stays put on the table
4. Backhand volleys get automatic spin, making active blocking easy
5. Forehand flicks over the table get arc and spin on their own, so they're consistent
Points I felt needed adjusting compared to Dignics 05:
- The ball sinks in too much, so serves float and lose their sharpness
- Because it sinks in so much, pushes and chiquitas where you try to add spin over the table tend to fly off and overshoot
- Hitting from an awkward position makes it easy to keep the ball on the table, but it easily turns into a flat, spinless ball
Maximum spin:
- About the same as Dignics 05 when you catch the ball with just the sheet
- More spin and more "waviness" than Dignics 05 when you sink it all the way into the sponge
That's how it went.
The pimple shape sinks in more easily than the 05 series, and I found the softness a bit hard to deal with personally.
Personally I prefer something harder.
I think this is a rubber that makes it easy to transition from spin-oriented tension rubbers to tacky rubbers.

Contrary to how it feels when you bounce the ball on it, meet-hitting actually bounces surprisingly well. But when you brush the ball, it feels like it doesn't fly much.
I was torn between Max thickness and Hard thickness for the sponge, but I think going with Hard for now was the right call.I'm going to use this on the backhand with Dignics 05 on the forehand for a while, but finding somewhere to practice... sigh
