Sriver EL combines Sriver's top sheet with a medium-soft elastic sponge.
This softer sponge allows you to generate more spin without using a power swing.

The sheet hardness, the bounce, and the grip on the ball are all well suited for stepping up from beginner to intermediate level.

It's a stable rubber, so I'd recommend it for beginners. But the characteristic Sriver arc and heavy ball quality still have plenty of uses now that spin-oriented tension rubbers dominate, so I think it's worth considering even for intermediate players and above.

Great hit control for blocking, but that's about it - the speed is poor and there's almost no spin. It's a good way to learn how to play around with your first racket, but I'd recommend switching to something more advanced after about 7 months. Also, it's a bit pricey for a starter rubber.

An extremely stable beginner's rubber. Easy to use and doesn't feel quirky at all. That said, it doesn't have much speed and doesn't bounce as much as a tension rubber, so it might start to bother you as you get better.

I used this as my first rubber.
Being beginner-oriented, the consistency is amazing. But once you get better, it starts to feel a bit lacking (not enough speed).

Of all the Sriver series rubbers, I feel like this one is the best.
First of all, it's easy to control and I think it has relatively good power too.

The first time I used this rubber, the topspin drive went in with a nicer trajectory than I expected. Butterfly themselves apparently officially recommend it for beginners, so I'd like to recommend it to beginners too.
