  This rubber is recommended for beginners. It's well suited to learning all the basic techniques. Receives and blocks are easy and go in reliably. Once you've picked up a certain level of skill, I think it's good to try Fly Att or Factive. It's also recommended for anyone who wants a rubber that goes in consistently.

  このラバーは、初心者におすすめです。全ての技術を覚えるのに適しています。レシーブやブロックはやりやすくきちっと入ります。ある程度の技術を覚えたらフライアットやファクティブをつかってみるといいと思います。又、安定して入れておきたい人にもおすすめです。

  Hydrogen ion (Experience: ６〜１０ years) Until processing was banned, I used this with glue or booster all through my school days

  

  It's nostalgic remembering how putting on booster made the max-thickness version go over 4mm. That's how strong the booster effect is.
  Just like the Mark V, it sells on name alone these days. It used to be 2940 yen, so who's even buying it now...
  For a beginner, something like Vega Europe, or even Hamond, would still be a better choice.
  As many people say it "doesn't grip the ball" - if your spin technique isn't developed yet, you won't get much spin out of this rubber without glue or booster, so it can work as a kind of benchmark for that.
  If you use a full-body swing rather than a small, compact drive, you can bring out the best of the Sriver. Hit it well and you'll get the deep, sinking drive the Sriver is known for.
  But away from the table, if you don't have much power the bounce isn't enough, so it's probably not suited to players who move around the whole court.
  For a weak first-year junior high kid, I think the sponge on this rubber is still plenty hard.

  ブースター塗ったらトクアツが4mm超えてしまったのが懐かしいです。それくらいブースターの効果は大きいです。
  マークV同様今は名前だけで売れてます。昔は2940円だったのに誰が買うんだか。。。初心者ならヴェガEUとか、まだハモンドのがいいです。
  ただ、みなさん「引っかからない」というように、回転をかける技術が未熟だと、ノングルー・ブースターでこのラバーでは回転かかりませんのでそういう指標にはなるかと。
  小ぶりなドライブではなく全身を大きく使うような打法だとスレイバーの良さが生かせます。うまく打てればスレイバー特有の深く沈むドライブが打てます。
  しかし後陣だと力のない人では弾みが足りませんのでオールコートで動く人には向かないでしょう。
  中学１年程度で非力な子だとこのラバーでもスポンジは十分固いと思います。

  Sho-go (Experience: １１〜２０ years) A great first rubber for starting table tennis

  

  Many people start table tennis in junior high, and I think this is a good rubber even for those beginners.
  Speaking of the Sriver series, back in the glue era it was a powerful rubber, but now that spin-oriented tension rubbers are the mainstream, it counts as an easy-to-handle rubber with modest bounce.
  That said, the plain Sriver is quite hard, so if a beginner is going to use it, I think the EL version is the safer choice.
  If you pair it with a soft wood blade, using Sriver EL on both sides should be fine too.
  Also, since it's cheaper than spin-oriented tension rubbers, I think it's a good rubber for when you're just starting out and money is tight.

  多くの方が中学から卓球を始めますが、そんな初心者にもいいラバーだと思います。
  スレイバーシリーズといえばグルー時代は威力の出るラバーでしたが、スピン系テンション主流の現在では扱い易い弾みの控え目なラバーに入ります。
  しかし、無印のスレイバーは硬度的にはかなり硬いため、初心者の方が扱うならELのが無難だと思います。
  柔らかい木材ラケットに合わせれば両面スレイバーELでも問題ないと思います。
  また値段もスピン系テンションラバーに比べて安価であるため、何かとお金が掛かる卓球を始める時期にはいいラバーだと思います。

  Sergei Frankly, not for beginners.

  

  Back in the day, beginners used to use this a lot (or were made to use it), but honestly, it's not that easy to use nowadays, right? (lol)
  If anything, it's more of a quirky rubber that lets you produce balls that are hard for opponents to handle, thanks to the low trajectory and heavy ball quality.

  And yet it lets you return consistently over the table, so I think it's perfect for a technician type who wants to induce opponent errors.
  Also, backhand chops are actually really easy to do with it! The bite is good, and you can produce knuckle balls too.
  Reflex blocks are super slow with it, but surprisingly that ends up scoring points sometimes lol

  It grips the ball well and you can even lift backspin balls, but the spin itself isn't great... lol
  For some reason it just goes in so well. So you can swing through with confidence.

  昔はビギナーがよく使って（使わされて）いましたが、はっきり言って今じゃ使いやすくはないですよね？(笑)
  むしろ軌道の低さ、球質の重さ等、相手にとって取りづらいボールを出せる癖のあるラバーかと。

  それでいて台上は安定して返せますし、相手のミスを誘うテクニシャンタイプにはぴったりだと思います。
  そして実はバックカットがとてもやりやすいです！キレもいいですし、ナックルも出せますね。
  咄嗟のブロックは超遅いですが、これがまた意外と点になったりしますｗ

  しっかりボールをつかまえて、下回転なんかも持ち上げられますが、回転はあまり・・・ｗ
  なぜか入るところは素晴らしいです。よって、自信を持って振りぬけます。

  De-beginner (Experience: ４〜５ years) For beginners

  

  For anyone who just started table tennis and wants to build fundamental skills,
  I'd recommend this rubber.

  It's not especially outstanding in speed or spin,
  but since it's a soft rubber, its control performance is
  high.

  I think it's good to start with this rubber and then
  step up from there.

  にはこのラバーをオススメします。

  特別スピードやスピンに優れているわけではないの
  ですが、柔らかいラバーなのでコントロール性能が
  高いです。

  まずはこのラバーから始めてステップアップしてい
  くと良いと思います。
