This is a blade that's great at bringing out the best in whatever rubber you put on it. It's not for people chasing crazy power, but it's more than enough for learning the basics.

My first impression is that the control is great. The ball flies exactly along the trajectory you aim for.
Speed is naturally fast since it's a 7-ply blade, but short techniques like the push and stop felt easy to control without bouncing too much.
It gets good spin. Some of that is down to my own lack of skill, but if you hit it in the wrong spot it doesn't grip the ball as much.
Control, as I said at the start, is really easy. It's a blade that suits any rubber and any playing style.
The feel on contact is a bit jarring on the hand, which is fine for me personally, but some people might find that hard to deal with.
The handle is thin, so even people with small hands can grip it firmly, and your grip won't gradually shift during a match, so you can always play at your full potential.Overall Speed Spin Control Touch Hardness Little soft

It holds the ball with a "flex" like a 5-ply blade,
while still giving you the small, near-straight arc trajectory typical of a 7-ply.The speed doesn't reach outer-material blade levels, but it bounces about as much as an inner-material blade.
For an all-wood blade, that's plenty of bounce.If you find this "not enough," you must be a pretty serious advanced player.
At the very least, unless you're placing near the top at the prefectural tournament level in middle school, I don't think you'd find this blade "not enough."
Power, feel, ease of use —
it really is the kind of blade you'd call the "gold standard."
The flared handle has a somewhat angular grip. Maybe it's meant to evoke the Timo Boll ALC?
It's the kind of thing that splits opinion.On the other hand, the straight handle is oval-shaped, so it feels quite easy to grip.
Easy to use, and it delivers power.It spins easily for how much bounce it has.
Given that it's even been used by members of the Japan national team, it's hard to believe the list price is under 6,000 yen.That said, don't mistake "cheap" for "beginner-friendly" — it isn't.

At first I thought it might be hard to put spin on the ball, but that wasn't the case at all — it also has a bit of that tacky-rubber-like grip, so it was really easy to get spin going.
Even when pushed back from the table, I could still attack aggressively without losing exchanges, and blocking was easy too — I could stop pretty much any hard shot.
It was also easy to lift underspin balls, which helped me play matches to my advantage.
I'm normally not great at aiming for specific spots on the table, but with the Swat I could aim easily.

So this is what TSP can do when they're serious...
When you hear "TSP," the image (in my opinion) is that they don't really have great products, but this one is seriously impressive lol
From drive-dominant players to unorthodox styles, and even choppers if you can handle it — it's an easy blade for pretty much anyone to use.
It's also just right for people aiming to level up their game.
The forehand feels on the firm side, and the backhand is firm too, though it can feel softer depending on the rubber.
Works with tacky rubber, tension rubber, anything really.

This blade is basically synonymous with TSP.
First off, it's listed as averaging 85g, but since the balance point is close to the handle, it feels about 2-3g lighter than that.
Also, despite being light, it doesn't lose much power, and drives still come out with plenty of force.
There's quite a bit of variation between individual units — a heavier one tends to have better pop, so I'd recommend a heavier one for short pips or long pips, while a lighter one has stronger flex, so I'd recommend that for inverted-rubber drive players. (I'm a drive player myself, and I use an 86g unit.)
So the takeaway is: there's variation, but each weight has playing styles it suits well.

Simply put, this blade isn't picky about the rubber or the player using it.
Personally I found it has quite a bit of flex.
That said, there seems to be quite a bit of variation between individual units, so I'd pick the weight based on your playing style and the thickness/weight of the rubber you use.
