It's just stable, period. It feels more like a 5-ply than a 7-ply. It doesn't have all that much speed (for a 7-ply). But thanks to how well it holds the ball, control is good. It also generates plenty of spin. I'd recommend it to people who like the feel of an all-wood blade, or who are looking for their first blade.

I play as a chopper using the large ball, and I was looking for a blade that wasn't too expensive but still had decent bounce and was easy to put spin on.
I'd had my eye on the Swat since it first came out, and I recently took the plunge and bought it, and I'm very happy with it after using it.Among blades labeled for the large ball that tend to be expensive just for that label, this one wasn't designed with the large ball in mind specifically, but it's reasonably priced and has really good bounce and spin.
It's especially good for people who want to both chop and drive.

Even for a beginner, the feel is nice, and you get decent speed and spin, so I think intermediate to advanced players can use it too. I'd recommend it, so please give it a try!

I chose this as my first blade in 7th grade, and the control is great, so it's really easy to use. It also pairs well with Legalis Red and Ventus Spin, making it easy to get speed and spin. I heard it can be used from beginner level all the way up to corporate-league level, so give it a try too!

This is a great blade for intermediate players who've gotten fairly comfortable with table tennis and feel like they've improved. Since it's not too expensive, it might be worth buying a few and using the Swat as a baseline while you look for the rubber that suits you. Even though it's 7-ply, the feel is soft and the control is on par with a 5-ply. That said, it still has decent pop when you hit it firmly... though it's tough once you back away from the table. If you start to feel like it's not quite enough, that might be your cue to move on to a special-material blade. Performance-wise, I'd recommend choosing one in the 87-93g range. If you go too light for the sake of handling, for some reason you lose that flex feel and it ends up feeling stiff instead, which isn't great, so be careful. If anything, a heavier one brings out the blade's character more. The grip is a bit on the thick side, so shaving it down a bit is part of the fun too. If you're starting in middle school, instead of buying an expensive 5-ply from Butterfly or the like, going straight for a Swat with a mid-thickness rubber (to keep the overall weight lighter) is also a good option.

For a 7-ply, the bounce is on the weaker side, so even beginners can handle it just fine.
The spin performance is quite something, and you get good speed on hard shots too.
Among the blades out there right now, I think this has the best value for money.

I picked this up after getting back into table tennis after a few decades away.
Just like the reviews said, it's easy to handle and works with any rubber, and it's cheap too!Thanks to this blade, I was able to get used to the plastic ball without any trouble.
There are plenty of expensive, high-end blades out there, but it's amazing that you can get this level of performance at this price.
