I've never come across a carbon blade this well-balanced.
Normally carbon blades are strong against topspin but weak against underspin, but this one handles both just fine.
When it comes to lifting underspin balls, it's top class among carbon blades.
Even in topspin rallies, the carbon's strengths come through.
Also, since the weight is in the low 80g range, being able to put heavier rubbers on both sides is one of its strengths.
It's a blade that works with any rubber, and tacky rubbers are totally fine on it too.That said, the short game is hard on this blade since it's carbon, and it takes real skill.
The ball comes off fast, so it flies away before you can fully put spin on it, which made it hard to use in matches, I felt.Overall Speed Spin Control Touch Hardness little hard

Used in the Chinese penhold style.
Basically every technique is easy to pull off with it.
Control over ball speed is outstanding.
On serves, the wood character comes through, giving just the right bounce and making it easy to put spin on the ball.
On hard shots, the inner carbon really kicks in, so the ball is fast even with tacky rubber.
It vibrates in your hand quite a bit, but the feel is satisfying to hit with.
I mainly play from mid-distance, and even with tacky rubber on it, it bounces plenty. If you have decent power, it's easy to hit from mid-distance.
That said, as a carbon blade, being an inner-carbon type, I'd put it in the lower-bounce category.
The sweet spot is wide, so it forgives off-center hits to some extent.
But the sound is kind of strange. On hard shots it gives a sharp crack, but on normal shots it makes a soft sound.
I felt this is a blade that turns into a completely different racket depending on how much power the player has.Overall Speed Spin Control Touch Hardness little hard

I wasn't used to it at first when I bought it, but once you get used to it, every shot lands consistently.
I use max thickness on both sides, and this blade keeps things from bouncing too much and gives good control. Personally I felt hard rubbers suit it well. Also, the blade itself is light, so you can recover pretty quickly even after a full swing. The best part is the feel. The sound of the equipment is amazing. The Ma Lin Carbon is basically the standard by which inner carbon blades are judged these days.
Honestly, this blade has nothing but good points. It's harder to find flaws or weak points than to praise it.
Anyone who's used it will get what I mean.
You often see comments saying it feels close to wood, but depending on how you hit the ball, it flies with that classic carbon feel and makes the sound of a special material too. There's some variation in weight between individual blades, so it's easy to find one that's the best weight for you.Overall Speed Spin Control Touch Hardness little hard

Of all the blades I've tried, this is one of my top 5.
First off, it works well with any rubber.
It has a good balance for serves, the short game, blocks, topspin drives, and both attack and defense, and somehow it cuts down on mistakes.
It would be perfect if it had just a little more bounce...
The grip shape fits my hand well and is very easy to hold. (ST)

The feel might be a matter of taste, but as a carbon blade, it's good on every point below.
(1) A controlled bounce with no unpredictability
(2) That ball-holding feel
(3) A wide sweet spot
(4) Handling that's close to an all-wood blade
(5) The price
That said, these are just the points I personally look for in a blade, so I imagine there are people this won't apply to.
Since it's a thin inner-carbon blade, it's not a good fit for people who prefer that outer-carbon feel or who want a strong, punchy emphasis on bounce.Overall Speed Spin Control Touch Hardness little hard

My honest first impressions come down to three things: it doesn't fly or bounce as much as I expected, it makes a hollow "pok pok" sound, and the grip feels too thick for me.
On the other hand, three things surprised me in a good way: spin is easy to put on, blocking is easy, and the stability is enough to drastically cut down on mistakes.
Personally I like this blade, but since I'd always used bouncier blades before, the Ma Lin Carbon ended up leaving a strong impression of "doesn't bounce much" on me. I like that bouncy blade feel, so honestly, the feel and touch of the Ma Lin Carbon aren't really to my taste, but I felt it suited my swing and playing style well. I think the Ma Lin Carbon taught me that "what you like" and "what's optimal for you" aren't always the same thing.Overall Speed Spin Control Touch Hardness little hard
