The first thing I noticed was how good the balance is.
I switched to this blade from the Innerforce Layer ALC.
It has a lot more bounce than my old blade, but it was never hard to handle.
It's a fantastic blade with plenty of bounce and it's still easy to put spin on the ball.
Also, the feel on contact is amazing!
It probably has to do with the rubber too, but there's this nice crisp "ping" that resonates in your hand just right
and personally I really love it. The G-1 is a fairly hard rubber, but you'd never guess it from the feel.
I think it pairs well with spin-oriented rubbers. I use a softer spin rubber on my backhand, and my backhand drive became more consistent, so I think softer rubbers work fine on the backhand with this blade.
If you want a blade with just the right amount of bounce and good distance, definitely give this one a try! I don't think you'll regret it.Overall Speed Spin Control Touch Hardness Little soft

When I switched from a wood blade to the Freitas, I thought it had insane bounce, but after using it for over a year I stopped being satisfied with it. Not sure if it's the rubber's fault. Blocking and countering are really easy, and shots from mid-distance go in easily too. It just doesn't produce much speed. I'm thinking of switching to the Timo Boll next.

The ball holds way better than on the Timo Boll ALC. As for how far it flies, it's more than the Innerforce ALC but less than the Timo Boll ALC.

This blade is amazing.
The ball holds really well and drives are super easy to hit.
Backhand drives from mid-distance and away from the table are really easy too, with insane power.
The blade itself has so much bounce that lobs go in easily as well.
I felt this blade is really easy to attack with both wings from mid to far distance.
I think the style that suits it best is playing like Freitas — connecting with lobs and then smashing the easy ball.
That said, it bounces so much that I don't think beginners should use it.Overall Speed Spin Control Touch Hardness Little soft

The wood is stiffer than the Timo Boll ALC, so it really flies. Power is on the high side. For drives, it's easier to hit speed drives than loop drives.

Switched over from the Timo Boll ALC.
First off, I was surprised right away — it's so soft!
The drive is amazing. The Timo Boll is hard and the ball leaves the blade fast, so honestly it wasn't a great match for my style of heavy-grazing drives. But the Freitas is different.
I don't feel much difference in bounce compared to the Timo Boll, yet the ball holds on the blade so much better!!
Control is great too, and it feels stable.
I haven't tried the ZLC, but if you're torn between the ZLC and the ALC,
I'd say go with the Freitas ALC.
