I bought this hoping it would be close to the now-discontinued Mace, but it's quite different. I'd say don't buy it expecting a Mace — be warned.
It's also different from the Timo Boll ALC. Don't buy it thinking it's the same kind of ALC blade.
The blade is 0.1mm thicker than the Mace and 0.2mm thicker than the Timo Boll ALC, and that extra thickness — coming from the limba wood — had a much bigger effect than I expected, making it fly more than I anticipated.
Personally, just in terms of bounce, I'd say it's about on par with the Mizutani ZLC.
That said, because the blade is thicker I didn't feel much flex from it. The thinner Mizutani ZLC and Timo Boll ALC flex more.
However, using limba doesn't mean it's hard just because it doesn't flex — the feel on contact itself is actually soft. It's a softer, high-flying blade. Kind of like an ALC version of the discontinued Amultart.
I paired it with 05 and 80 rubbers and didn't feel anything off about the combo. That said, I wouldn't recommend it to players who can't generate enough impact on the ball.
If your impact is weak but you still really want to use an outer-carbon blade, you'd be better off choosing a somewhat softer rubber.Overall Speed Spin Control Touch Hardness Little soft

Just like the title says, getting used to it really matters — even for players who've already used other ALC blades. It's not especially bouncy or hard, but its consistency far exceeds that of traditional ALC blades, which is exactly why it takes real time to adapt to. By the way, I felt Rozena was a great rubber choice for it. At first I used Tenergy 05, like Freitas does, but I think that only really works for players who can handle it well and hit cleanly without mistakes. I'd say start with Rozena, then move on to Tenergy.

My first impression was, this is basically the Mace. It reminded me of the Mace that Jun Mizutani used to use.
It's softer than the Timo Boll ALC, and I was surprised that just making the blade a bit thicker could make it feel this mellow.
Overall power is more on the Timo Boll's level, but blocking and control feel more like the Freitas!
The great balance is its biggest selling point.
Special-material blades tend to feel hard on contact and can be tricky to control, but this one has none of that harshness at all!

I borrowed it from a friend and tried it out — my first impression was that the overall balance is really good. That said, since it's a somewhat stiff blade, it seems to pair better with softer rubbers. I'd recommend it for intermediate to advanced players.

It has a fairly typical ALC feel.
For men, the grip runs thin, so definitely check it out in a shop before buying.The power is outstanding, as you'd expect from an ALC.
The ball also holds well for an ALC, so if you're thinking about moving up to a special-material blade, I think this one is worth buying.

I switched over from the Mace Performance.
This was my first ALC blade so I didn't know what to expect, but it's incredibly easy to use.
Basically in any situation you can get a lot of spin on the ball. From serves, stops, and pushes to loop drives and topspin rallies, I feel like the amount of spin went up across the board.
The speed is more than enough too — on loop drives, not just the spin but the speed went up as well, turning them into sharp, crisp loop drives.
Power went up noticeably on both forehand and backhand.
I think using a tacky rubber would make it even more stable. But overall I think it's a fantastic blade that suits pretty much any rubber.Overall Speed Spin Control Touch Hardness little hard

I switched over from the Fly Att Carbon Pro. The balance between power and control on the Freitas ALC is fantastic. Two-winged drives from mid-distance go exactly where I want with a ton of power too. The metallic sound it makes on contact is a love-it-or-hate-it thing, but it worked for me. Right now I have Hurricane on the forehand, and this blade even makes up for the speed that tacky rubbers usually lack. My blade alone weighed 85 grams. It's light, the grip is easy to hold, and it looks great. It's a blade with no real weaknesses, so I don't think you'll regret buying it.
