The Korbel is the blade I've used from the very start, and in my experience, it's a blade that fits you better the more you use it. Any rubber works fine on it, but being a wood blade, I felt like it doesn't produce that much speed on its own. If you're going to use it, I think you can make up for that by pairing it with a fast rubber like Tenergy.

This blade has really good flex, and you can feel it strongly in your hand. It grips the ball firmly, so it stays stable even with a bouncy tension rubber. If you're a beginner, I think you can start with this blade and stay satisfied with it right up until you move into advanced level!
The combos I'd recommend are definitely Rozena and the Tenergy series! As your skill improves, if you keep stepping up your rubber choice, I think you can keep using this blade for a really long time.
It's also a good recommendation for choppers! It's an attacking blade, but the blade is a bit on the larger side and gets good distance, so chopping is pretty easy with it. Choppers who like to attack a lot should definitely give it a try!Overall Speed Spin Control Touch Hardness Soft

The ball goes up easily. It's perfect for learning the feel of putting spin on the ball. Once you get good at spinning it, though, it starts going up too much. It might be too heavy for a first blade - when I started, my coach made me buy this one, but it was too heavy for me to swing all the way through. I did a ton of strength training because of it. I'd recommend a speed-focused rubber with it. By the way, if you put on a rubber with a hardness above 50 degrees, assuming the blade is around average weight, the total goes over 200 grams. Most units run a bit lighter than the stated average weight, though.

Basically it doesn't have much bounce.
Being an old-school 5-ply, it's pretty "poko-poko." Pairing it with a harder rubber probably helps some. It's soft and flexes a lot, so it pairs really well with a harder tacky rubber.
The ball-holding is good, so the feeling of confidence when driving is amazing.
I'd say it's way better than other companies' 5-ply blades.

The blade itself weighs 90.9g. With rubber on, it came to 188.9g. I bought it to try out a wood blade.
The ball-holding is surprisingly good, which makes it easy to control.
It's a different brand, but I feel far more ball-holding than the SWAT.
Against backspin, the ball-holding is good enough that you can even change your shot placement after seeing your opponent's stance. Being a 5-ply, the flight is correspondingly restrained. Since it's easy to control and doesn't fly too much, you end up making fewer mistakes.

I've tried a bunch of combos, but even after hitting for just a bit, my right knee gets sore unless I wear a knee support (lol)
It doesn't fly as much as the SK7, so I think it's easier to control. Good for advanced players who are on a budget.

The feel on contact is pleasant, and it's a blade that makes table tennis fun.
The feedback that comes through to your hand is clear and stable too.
The grip has a simple design that you won't get tired of.
There's a lot of variation in weight between individual units (85-100g, averaging around 91g), and it can handle a variety of playing styles - versatile while still hiding a lot of potential.
The on-the-heavier-side weight is a downside, but since the blade holds the ball well, using thick rubber might give a better feel and bring out more of the blade's performance.
Rather than reaching for fancier equipment, this is a blade I'd want everyone to try at least once.I'd recommend checking the weight before you buy.
