The Nostalgic VII is a 7-ply blade build with the same hand selected middle and second layer veneers used in the Clipper Wood, however for the outer veneer we use a hard yet elastic natural wood called “Wenge”.

I'd been using the 7mm Clipper Wood.
I liked the ball-holding feel and control it offered, but the 6.3mm version didn't have that same flex, so while I was wandering around undecided, I found out this one had come out.
My impression after trying it is that it's like (the power of the Sense 7.6 + the ball-holding feel of the Clipper Wood) ÷ 2... or rather,
it feels like the two combined.Either way, the shot you get is proportional to the quality of your swing.
Which, when you put it that way, is only natural... (;^ω^)That said, maybe because it's as thin as 6.2mm, when you get a really solid swing in, the blade's flex kicks in and adds about 30% more power to the ball.
I'd say it's suited for
people with fast swing speed
&
people who use tacky rubber

Since the top ply is harder, light shots tend to come out flatter and deader than with the Clipper Wood, so it's a bit tricky to handle, but the flex and feel when you hit hard shots are great. The grip is easy to hold, and it pairs well with tacky rubber and short pips too. Overall, this is a racket that lets intermediate-and-up hard hitters use its performance to the fullest.

This is a 7-ply blade with a wenge outer veneer. The feel is on the hard side, but it's not an unpleasant hardness that's unmanageable for a plywood blade.
I wondered whether it would suit tacky rubber since it's a STIGA blade, but personally I'd recommend it with tension rubber on both sides for loop drivers.
It's easy to put spin on, and it has the power and strength you'd expect from a 7-ply blade. It's 7 plies, but the blade isn't overly thick, which also makes it easy to handle.

This is really great.
The first time I hit forehand shots, I didn't feel much off the blade and thought it might be one of those carbon-feeling blades, but once you get used to it, you start to notice a nice, snappy feel. It's not that hard, but forehand drives and blocks hit with a light touch produce really good shots, and I never get overpowered by my opponent's ball.
Next, about the feel with short pips on the backhand — I think it's great for players who like a snappy hit. Backhand blocks are very stable, and since the blade and rubber combo sends the ball out fast, it plays almost like a counter and makes it easy to score points. Stopping the ball also gets easy once you're used to it!
For smashes, whether against backspin or topspin, with a little adjustment even angled hits produce a nasty, knuckling trajectory!
I'm completely hooked at this point (lol)
I can't imagine switching to anything else right now!
