    Customer Reviews SummaryAI Summary
The balanced performance between Tenergy 05 and 64 is highly appreciated, with particular praise for stability and ease of use on the backhand. However, poor durability and high price are noted as major drawbacks.
    ■ Frequently Mentioned Points
    • Excellent balance combining 05's spin and 64's speed
    • Outstanding stability and ease of use on backhand
    • Exceptional at short-range techniques like chiquita
    • Strong all-around performance in rallies
    • Short durability and high price point
    ■ Representative Voices
▲ PositiveWhile Tenergy rubbers tend to have some sharp edges in performance, Tenergy 80 is perfectly balanced across all aspects. Both drive and block techniques, along with all skill levels, are easily improved.
▽ CriticalWhile it's a very good rubber, the high price and short lifespan are drawbacks. The topsheet wears easily, and the bounce diminishes within a month on the forehand side.

      Yutchi @ cut Dependable Tenergy

      Reviews by user

It really feels like a true Tenergy.
Personally, I think it's a rubber that takes the best of both the 05 and 64!
It has excellent spin performance, but since it's not as hard as the 05, you can really dig the ball into the sponge and still get spin; it's fast, and since it's harder than the 64 it puts out powerful shots.
Of course, it's not all good.
This applies to the whole Tenergy series, but receiving is really tough... If you're not at a level where you can properly read your opponent's spin, you end up being someone who plays great in practice but can't win matches. Since the price has gotten pretty high these days, I'd recommend it for someone who already has a solid feel for the game, maybe as a switch right before an important tournament!

Manufacturing (Experience: 11〜20 years) The most stable in the Tenergy series

      Reviews by user

Being part of the Tenergy series, it really bounces well. It spins nicely too.
It's my second favorite after the 64. But between the cost, how long it lasts, and the feel on contact not quite suiting me, I ended up giving it up.
Still, it's one of the really good rubbers out there.

      Reviews by user

This is my first Tenergy. At first it flew so much it was scary, but eventually my serves, flicks, and drives all started landing. Since it's 7,000 yen, I'd go with just one sheet, or one sheet of Nippen on the other side.

Fukutaka The star of the Tenergy series

      Reviews by user

It's the top honor student of the whole Tenergy series. It can do everything.
People say it doesn't have much of a standout trait within the series, but even so, it's a high-performing, all-mighty rubber.
The only issue is the price and how long it lasts...

I think it combines speed and spin at a really high level.
It's easy to use for the short game, but it also has explosive power that lets you drive right through the ball.
If anything, I'd say this rubber suits players who play away from the table.
