    Customer Reviews SummaryAI Summary
The balanced performance between Tenergy 05 and 64 is highly appreciated, with particular praise for stability and ease of use on the backhand. However, poor durability and high price are noted as major drawbacks.
    ■ Frequently Mentioned Points
    • Excellent balance combining 05's spin and 64's speed
    • Outstanding stability and ease of use on backhand
    • Exceptional at short-range techniques like chiquita
    • Strong all-around performance in rallies
    • Short durability and high price point
    ■ Representative Voices
▲ PositiveWhile Tenergy rubbers tend to have some sharp edges in performance, Tenergy 80 is perfectly balanced across all aspects. Both drive and block techniques, along with all skill levels, are easily improved.
▽ CriticalWhile it's a very good rubber, the high price and short lifespan are drawbacks. The topsheet wears easily, and the bounce diminishes within a month on the forehand side.

tenn (Experience: 6〜10 years) Amazing on the backhand!!

      Reviews by user

I used this on the back side of a Chinese penhold.
I was using Tenergy 05 before, but switching to the 80 made the ball go in so much more consistently!!
Attacking against backspin was really easy, and the short game and chiquita were also very easy to do!
If you feel the 05 is a bit too hard, I think you should switch to the 80 right away!
I was hesitant to switch too, but once I did, it was so easy to use that I wondered why I didn't switch sooner!
If you haven't tried it yet, definitely give it a shot!!

Tenajiman (Experience: 6〜10 years) More than just a god-tier rubber

      Reviews by user

This thing is just a god. It's so amazing I can barely form proper sentences about it.
When it first came out and I heard about the Tenergy 80, I thought it sounded impressive, but I didn't expect it to be this good...
First of all, there's no technique that's hard to pull off.
With drives on both sides, it almost felt like if you just swing, it goes in.
For the short game, chiquita is really easy to do. Of course stops, pushes, and flicks are all excellent too.
And I'd recommend it more for backhand than forehand.
But it's plenty good for forehand too!
I really want everyone to try this rubber at least once.
No, seriously, you have to try it!!

The 80 has high performance in both spin and speed, so you can play at a high level. It doesn't fly too much or bounce up too high, so everything from short-game techniques to topspin rallies is easy to do. That said, it doesn't have the spin of the 05 or the speed of the 64, so I felt it tends to lead to longer rallies. Power and speed are both more than enough, and it's a rubber that works for any playing style. Recommended for those looking for consistency.

      Table (Experience: 2〜3 years)

I went from Rozena → Tenergy 05 → Tenergy 80 in that order. This rubber is recommended for people who want balance, who feel Fastarc C1 lacks both spin and speed, or who think the 05 has good spin but not enough speed, or the opposite - people who think the 64 has good speed but not enough spin. Since it's well balanced, you can hit with a really good feel.

Legendary crab (Experience: 2〜3 years) Super well balanced

      Reviews by user

My first impression was that the consistency in rallies is amazing.
As for serves, the sharpness is about the same as other tension rubbers.
Looping drives arc nicely and land deep with control.
Regular topspin drives also grip well.
It's easy to control even in rally exchanges, and you can return the opponent's spin solidly.
As a rubber it's really great, but I feel like it wears out a bit fast.
      The topsheet wears down easily.
Still, it's a great rubber, so why not give it a try?

Takayuki Niwa fan (Experience: 2〜3 years) Looking for stability.

      Reviews by user

A friend let me try their paddle.
I test-hit it on the backhand side.
I hit a topspin drive against a backspin ball, and
      the stability is amazing!!
For me, the Tenergy I'd want on my backhand is
      Tenergy 80!!
I'd heard it was expensive, but it really has the performance to back it up!
Please give it a test hit at least once!

      Tenergy 80, 80 FX
      Tenergy 64, 64 FX
      Tenergy 25, 25 FX
      There's also Dignics 05, but
for anyone looking for stability, I think the 80 suits you!
      I don't think you'll go wrong!!

      Gar (Experience: 6〜10 years)

      Reviews by user

It's a touch softer than the 05, so it's easier to handle, and it's an all-around rubber that lets you pull off every technique at a high level. That said, I think players who can put full spin on the ball will get more power out of the 05.
I'd been using the 05 for chopping, and while its maximum bite is high, I found it hard to handle and gave up on it. But with the 80, the bite feels almost the same while the handling feels improved, which I found pretty impressive. If I had to nitpick, maybe the bite on pushes dropped a little.
A jack-of-all-trades rubber can sound like a "master of none" in a bad sense, but with this one, every single stat is high-spec.
