Amazing rubber
Everything about it is great except that it doesn't produce much knuckle effect. It gets about as much spin as inverted rubber and has speed too. It's a really good rubber.All Speed Spin Control Hardness Soft

Enjoyment (Experience: ４〜５ years) Recommended for your first short pips

This was my first time using it, and I feel like hitting flat and flicking in particular are especially easy with it.
Also, even though it's short pips, it generates quite a bit of spin, while still letting you produce knuckle balls, so I think you can get plenty of that classic short-pips play out of it.
When you switch from inverted to short pips and accidentally hit it with your old inverted-rubber feel, it still generates enough spin that the ball goes in reasonably well, so I'd recommend it to anyone trying short pips for the first time.All Speed Spin Control Hardness Little soft

This rubber can do pretty much everything. (2.0mm thickness, red) Used on the backhand, and a bit on the forehand too.
It bounces, but you get both speed and spin, and it won't fly long as long as you close the racket angle.
You can add variation and chop with it too. The sheet is strong as well.
Angle hits, drives, the short game — it handles all of it really well!
I switched over from inverted rubber, but I got used to it right away.
If you're switching from inverted rubber, go for the horizontal-pip VO102.
If you want to practice short pips and hit knuckle balls, go for VO101.
If you want a good balance, go for VO103.
I think they're all good.

I play inverted rubber on both sides, but I tried this on my backhand — I'd create smash chances but then couldn't put them away on my forehand smash... So on a whim I tried it on my forehand as short pips instead, and it suited me way better than I expected (^^)
My "drive" (well, drive-ish, in my case lol) gets spin, has some movement to it, and I can put away smashes when I get the chance.
Other reviews mention that it's bouncy, but I don't find it that hard to handle (maybe because I switched over from inverted rubber?). For me though, my forehand pushes tend to come out too high. If I think about where I place my pushes and push properly, there does seem to be some variation, and sometimes opponents miss their smash because of it.
During a match, when I want to break a bad flow, I'll sometimes switch to playing with the short pips on my backhand, and my opponents seemed to have a hard time with that too (lol)I also tried the Morristo SP, but it didn't seem to suit my style, and the spin felt a bit lacking compared to the 102, so I switched straight back to the 102.
For someone like me who wants to finish points with a forehand smash when I get the chance, the 102 is a really good rubber.All Speed Spin Control Hardness Soft

This is a really bouncy rubber, even among short pips. Both the spin and speed were impressive. It lets you hit good topspin drives, so I end up relying on it more than angle hits. It takes some getting used to at first, but once you do, smashes land one after another and it feels great. The short game is easy to handle overall, and flicks in particular were easy to pull off. Because it's so bouncy, control is a bit tricky though. It seems like it'd work well even for inverted-rubber players, so definitely give it a try.

Hey there. This is Kou, the guy who recommends the Evoshield that nobody else uses. (Please check out my Evoshield 5 review too!) This rubber gets tons of spin and speed too — it's like a fusion of short pips and inverted rubber. I figured it'd be perfect for the Evoshield if you're into consecutive topspin drives, and sure enough, bingo. It's strong and cheap, so please use it together with the Evoshield. Sorry for the long post.

A spin-oriented short pips rubber. I think it's good for switching over from inverted rubber, but with a spin-type short pips rubber in general, there isn't that much variation, so opponents adjust to it pretty quickly. Well, it's easy to hit since it generates spin, but... Personally, I ended up going back to the old Spectol. Unless you actually build up enough skill with small-pip short pips, there's not much point in using short pips in the first place. In the end, it feels like I've just been running to whatever rubber is easy to use.
