RAKZA X table tennis rubber from Yasaka is the latest addition to the popular and highly successful RAXZA series of Yasaka rubbers. The top sheet is a mainly natural rubber gum, employing a new production method.
The result is a top surface with exceptional grip enabling both phenomenal spin and speed. These qualities reduce the margin for error. This top sheet is then combined with a harder “Power Sponge”. The resulting combination of a faster sponge and high grip top sheet enables you to place the ball accurately with a high degree of success.
Serves and short returns are both very sharp, similar to the Rakza 7 and Rakza 9.

Low cost, yet the balance of spin, speed, and control is excellent. For drives, you get better shots by letting the ball sink into the sponge rather than just brushing it. If you have the technique to generate spin, you can get about as much as with Tenergy. That said, unlike Tenergy it doesn't fly off on its own, so I'd recommend it to people who can swing properly and hit with real impact. I'm using Rakza X on the forehand and Rakza 7 on the backhand with an SK7 Classic.

Paired with the Zhang Jike ALC, the forehand feels great — the ball feels really nice off the rubber, and the kick you get on forehand topspin drives is excellent. The issue is that there's too much kick on serves, so it's actually hard to add more backspin serves since they come out slower. Still, this is a great rubber for intermediate players. I'd recommend it to pros and anyone who needs a fast rubber with plenty of feel and control. If you can manage it, the Zhang Jike ALC might be the ideal combo for it.

Living up to its reputation for max grip on the ball, it's easy to put spin on.
I found it hard to put spin on serves. It works better to let the ball sink into the sponge rather than brushing it for spin. Loop drives are easy to do.
Pairing it with a blade that has some weight to it is great.

Rakza 7 makes it easy to put spin on the ball, and when you brush it well it stays low and extends in the short game, whereas Rakza X has strong grip on the ball so you can form a nice solid arc. Honestly, I'd personally recommend it for the backhand. Rozena is similar, but it wears out faster, and if you hit with strong impact, X holds up better, so I'd recommend it for men or high schoolers ✴

I used this at max thickness on my forehand. Just like the title says, the grip on the ball is amazing. It gets a decent amount of spin and the short game was good too. If you hit your drives too flat they'll go into the net. Other than that, placement is good and you can hit counters with it too.

I rated this compared to rubbers in the same price range. It doesn't stand out in any particular way, and I think Rozena, which arcs the ball on its own, is easier to use. That said, my practice partner complimented the speed, so I factored that into my rating.

Forehand topspin drive
Takes a little getting used to, but once you do, you can put spin on the ball freely and it goes right where you aim.
Backhand topspin drive
Great spin and power, really good.
Short game
Flicks are stable, and chiquita goes in consistently too.
