RAKZA X table tennis rubber from Yasaka is the latest addition to the popular and highly successful RAXZA series of Yasaka rubbers. The top sheet is a mainly natural rubber gum, employing a new production method.
The result is a top surface with exceptional grip enabling both phenomenal spin and speed. These qualities reduce the margin for error. This top sheet is then combined with a harder “Power Sponge”. The resulting combination of a faster sponge and high grip top sheet enables you to place the ball accurately with a high degree of success.
Serves and short returns are both very sharp, similar to the Rakza 7 and Rakza 9.
RAKZA X – yet another winning combination from Yasaka!

    Customer Reviews SummaryAI Summary
Highly praised for excellent grip strength and spin performance, while the hard sheet and requirement for swing speed are challenges. Recognized as a mid-to-advanced rubber suited for drive-type players and power hitters.
    ■ Frequently Mentioned Points
    • Strong grip force makes spin easy to apply
    • Hard sheet requires feeding the ball properly
    • Designed for players with fast swing speed
    • Stable for drives and close-to-net techniques
    • Durability somewhat short at 2-3 months
    ■ Representative Voices
▲ PositiveNaturally creates arcs and feels softer despite hard rating. With strong grip, it's ideal for spin-focused players and produces power proportional to swing speed.
▽ CriticalParticles lifted and sheet became slippery after 2-3 months of use. Short durability and requires proper engagement to produce adequate ball lift.

Damn big brother (Experience: 2〜3 years) So strong

      Reviews by user

It feels hard to the touch, but the feel when hitting is soft and pretty much everything goes in. On top of that it has plenty of speed and spin, so I think it's an all-around rubber.

This was about two and a half years ago, but I had it on my forehand.

It's a rubber that lets the ball sink in really well and is easy to handle.

I think it's a rubber that works well across the board, from beginners to advanced players.
I think it's a really good rubber for practicing and learning a variety of techniques.

It's a rubber I'd really like junior high schoolers to try.

It's a fairly hard rubber, but the ball sinks in easily so it feels soft. The grip is good, and you can lift even a heavily spun backspin ball with a drive, so it's an easy rubber to attack with, though I think the short game techniques take a bit of practice to get comfortable with. Both spin and speed come out at a good level, so it's a nice rubber overall.
I'd recommend it to people who want to really sink the ball in and drive.

I ❤️ Koki Niwa (Experience: 4〜5 years) Easy to use!

      Reviews by user

I borrowed this from a friend!
I used it on my backhand, and first of all, even though it's a fairly hard rubber, it felt soft.
The ball really sinks in properly, so I could hit stably!
The sheet's grip is strong too, so it rarely slipped and caught the net!
But it's a heavy rubber, so be careful when you buy it!

Kawachi (Experience: 6〜10 years) Solid grip, no drop-off

      Reviews by user

I used this on my forehand.
Trying forehand hits and drives, I found it has good grip and easily produces a ball with a nice, clean arc. That said, it doesn't put on a huge amount of spin, and I got the impression that older-generation rubbers like Evolution MX-P or Rakza 7 actually had more power. Even so, since the ball flies upward and doesn't drop at all, it's stable, and even in big rallies with topspin exchanges the ball travels far easily, which gave me enough margin to also aim for specific placements.
Also, the price is reasonably kind, as you'd expect from Yasaka, so I'd recommend it to students looking for good value for money.

seasoning (Experience: 4〜5 years) Insane grip power

      Reviews by user

The grip is amazing. In topspin rallies, you almost never miss unless the rubber is worn out. It feels really hard to the touch, but when you actually hit with it, it feels soft.
Speed and spin are more than enough too.
That said, I felt the spin was a bit lower compared to Rakza 7. Also, when I tried to aim my own spin and placement, the ball left the rubber a bit quickly, which gave me some trouble at first.
