RAKZA X table tennis rubber from Yasaka is the latest addition to the popular and highly successful RAXZA series of Yasaka rubbers. The top sheet is a mainly natural rubber gum, employing a new production method.
The result is a top surface with exceptional grip enabling both phenomenal spin and speed. These qualities reduce the margin for error. This top sheet is then combined with a harder “Power Sponge”. The resulting combination of a faster sponge and high grip top sheet enables you to place the ball accurately with a high degree of success.
Serves and short returns are both very sharp, similar to the Rakza 7 and Rakza 9.

I had been using Rakza 7 Soft on my forehand, but I found myself wondering, "Isn't there a Yasaka rubber that gives a more stable, heavier drive?" so I picked this up while it was on sale.
When I first started using it, I thought it felt hard… but I got used to that quickly, and once I started hitting drives, the arc was high and yet it still had plenty of spin.
(Everything from here on is just my own feeling, so it won't necessarily be the same for everyone.)
Counters and blocks started going in more easily than before.
My sense is that this rubber is aimed at intermediate players. But it's one I'd recommend everyone try at least once (lol)All Speed Spin Control Hardness Hard

I borrowed this from a friend who plays Chinese penhold.
I think it's a really good rubber, but I don't think I had enough power to bring out its full performance.
Personally, the short game techniques were easy to do with it.
But it felt like it would wear out fast.

This is about the max-thickness version.
Rather than brushing thinly, driving by really sinking the ball in gives a more stable, better shot.
After you hit a drive and it bounces on the opponent's side, the way it shoots forward is amazing.
Pushes come out low, like they're stabbing into the opponent's court.
I don't think this suits people whose impact on the ball is weak.All Speed Spin Control Hardness Little hard

As someone who likes hard rubbers, this one is extremely easy for me to use.
When returning with a push or a stop, you can put full spin into your return.
That said, control is a bit tricky, so you need to carefully keep things stable yourself.
But aside from that, I think you can really make the most of it.
Drives sink solidly into the sponge, giving you a heavy drive with plenty of spin and speed.
As for serves, they bite without question. They just bite, period. When I hit a really heavy backspin serve at school practice, my opponent sometimes drops it into the net. That's how much this rubber bites.
This rubber is one I'd recommend for people who want to really put spin on the ball and really put out power.All Speed Spin Control Hardness Hard

Nakayama (Experience: ２〜３ years) The arc is amazing

Once it turns into a topspin rally, there's no sign of losing, lol. Even from an awkward body position, the ball comes out with a sharp arc and drives right into the opponent's court. I also tried counters, and taking the ball earlier makes it easier. The serves bite well too — if I had to name a downside, it would be that spinny stops were a bit hard to do.

The ball sits on the rubber amazingly well, so it was easy to get a feel for driving.
Speed and power are about average.
Meet-hitting was easier than I expected!

I'll review this by comparing it to the popular Tenergy 05, G-1, Rakza 7, and V15 Extra.
[Light hits]
- Feels a bit hard, I'd say.
- The spin seems to come on by itself as the ball flies, similar to 05.
[Drive]
- The hardness you felt on light hits basically disappears entirely, and with a nice sound you get a pretty fast, heavy ball.
- Arc height goes roughly G-1 > Rakza 7 > Rakza X = 05 > V15.
[Block]
- With a gentle touch it drops slightly.
- If you push into it a bit, the ball comes out low and fast, and it's quite stable.
- Similar to the V15.
[Counter]
- Just holding it steady and hitting from above produces quite a good ball.
- Even without trying to drive it yourself, just swinging to match the ball still produces a decent shot.[Overall rating]
It's basically a 05 that's heavily affected by your impact.
If your impact isn't enough, the ball drops right off. That said, it's never overpowered, and the fact that exactly the force you put in gets transmitted to the ball is a pretty good point.
Lifting backspin is probably harder with this than with the other three rubbers compared here.
Durability is short — a little over two weeks at 3 hours of practice per day. I feel like that's even shorter than 05.All Speed Spin Control Hardness Little hard
