TENERGY 64 is the fastest attacking rubber of the TENERGY family; the No. 64 being the development code of the pimples used in producing this reversed rubber.

BUTTERFLY High Tension technology has enabled a fast dynamic rubber to be produced by utilizing the innovative SPRING SPONGE. SPRING SPONGE enables a player to "grip" the ball and "catapult" the return back at high speed and with heavy spin.

    Customer Reviews SummaryAI Summary
Tenergy 64 is highly praised for its exceptional speed performance, soft sheet, and straight trajectory. It excels in hitting techniques, blocking, and close-range play, earning top-tier ratings from many users. However, its high price and short durability are notable drawbacks, and it is considered difficult for beginners to master.
    ■ Frequently Mentioned Points
    • Top-class speed with direct, low-arc trajectory
    • Soft sheet is easy to handle with excellent control
    • Stable for hitting and blocking techniques
    • High price with relatively short lifespan
    • Spin performance is sufficient but inferior to Tenergy 05/80
    ■ Representative Voices
▲ PositiveThe pinnacle of speed-type Tenergy. With its soft texture and easy control, it resists opponent's spin, making blocking and receiving smooth. Outstanding balance between offense and defense with truly excellent performance.
▽ CriticalDespite excellent speed, the high bounce makes it difficult to control, particularly for receiving and blocking which feel very challenging. Requires skilled technique to master effectively.

The speed is insane, the ball sinks into the topsheet really easily, and it feels the best out of all the Tenergy rubbers to me.

The trajectory is relatively flat, but it still has that Tenergy-like grip on the ball.
Meet-hitting is easy to do too - you're better off playing a style that makes the most of the speed.
It's not the type of rubber that has that long, grabby spin feel.

      Being lightweight is nice too.

      Reviews by user

Used on the backhand side of a Zhang Jike ALC.
The speed when you snap the ball is amazing!
It also gets plenty of spin, so chiquitas work great too!

      Reviews by user

Used on the backhand of a Timo Boll W5, max thickness
The trajectory is pretty straight, kind of close to a short pips feel
It really bounces and gives great speed!
It doesn't spin as much as Tenergy 05, but it still has plenty of spin
The first time you use it you might overshoot
but once you get used to it you'll be fine
People say the lifespan is short, but it's still totally usable
      Smash
Really good! The speed is amazing!
      Topspin drive
Pretty good, but the net is a little scary
      Meet hitting
The strongest! There's no other word for it
      Block
      Pretty easy to do
      Stop/push
You can do it normally but it floats up a bit
      Serve
Gets spin. But it feels like it might overshoot a bit
      Conclusion
This is an amazingly good rubber
I'd recommend it to anyone who relies a lot on meet-hitting technique!

Ishitsubute (Experience: 11〜20 years) The rubber I've used longest in my life

      Reviews by user

I used this from 5th grade through my second year of high school, back when the Tenergy series was still 6,300 yen tax included, before the price went up.
Back then I didn't have much power, so I couldn't use hard rubbers at all.
What I wanted from a rubber at the time was
      1) speed, 2) spin, 3) distance, 4) control, 5) softness, and I was looking for something as soft as possible that still had power - this was a perfect match, so it's the rubber I used the longest in my life.
The speed is right up there among the top one or two rubbers I've ever used.
However, once the price went up to what it is now, I had to give it up for financial reasons, but I'd like to use it again once I can afford it.
Later I had a bit more money to spare, so I used it again for a month.
When driving against backspin, at my level, using it on the forehand felt like the ball dropped a little short.
Still, it's such a good rubber overall that I keep debating whether to go back to it.

Gengar (Experience: 6〜10 years) Soft yet fast

      Reviews by user

I used the max thickness version on the backhand of a Harimoto Tomokazu Innerforce ALC. Weight was 45.0g
Blocks land on the table and stay stable no matter what. The ball is fast too, so you can stop your opponent from stringing together powerful drives.
That said, I think it's my own stroke, but shots against backspin tend to drop short...
      That never happens with 80
It works plenty well on the forehand too. It has a straight trajectory like Rasanter R48, giving fast drives, yet it still keeps the ball on the table for the short game too. If anything, it was even better on the forehand.

Chabby (Experience: 6〜10 years) Pleasant hitting feel and speed

      Reviews by user

It feels softer than the numbers suggest. The ball really sinks into the sponge and you can hit fast shots, so it's a fun rubber to play with.

High performance, high price, short lifespan - that hasn't changed…

Beginners who participate in the prefecture (Experience: 2〜3 years) Usable even for beginners

      Reviews by user

I looked up popular rubbers and found this one, so I bought it.
      Used on the backhand
I often hear it's hard for beginners to handle, but I didn't find it difficult to hit with at all. I have Rakza Z Extra Hard on my forehand, and even during switching drills at club practice, having Tenergy on the other side noticeably reduced overshoot misses when hitting off the Extra Hard side. Before switching to Tenergy 64 I had Rakza 7 Soft on the backhand, and switching to Tenergy 64 didn't make it particularly harder to hit with.
That said, while it does keep the ball on the table, I felt it was hard to place the ball exactly where I was aiming.
