Yasaka can offer a table tennis rubber with a very sticky top sheet combined with a rather hard sponge.
The sticky rubber makes it easy to control the topspin, serves and short cut returns.
The tension of the sponge creates outstanding speed.

Even though being a sticky Chinese rubber SHINING DRAGON is light-weighted.

    Customer Reviews SummaryAI Summary
Highly rated among sticky rubbers for its lightweight and ease of use, especially recommended for beginners and intermediate players transitioning from tension rubbers. However, power-oriented advanced players find it lacking in power and force.
    ■ Frequently Mentioned Points
    • Lightweight for a sticky rubber, making it easy to handle
    • Excellent spin performance with stable drive shots
    • Effective for point-scoring via short-court techniques and blocking
    • Ideal for beginners transitioning from tension rubbers, but limited attacking power
    • Compatibility varies depending on blade hardness; proper blade selection is crucial
    ■ Representative Voices
▲ PositiveDespite being light, it flies well and generates tremendous spin on serves. Easy to transition from tension rubbers and versatile for everything from short-court techniques to attacking shots.
▽ CriticalDisappointing compared to the previous Shoiryu model. Spin performance is mediocre with uninspiring, linear ball trajectory lacking sticky rubber characteristics. Power players should choose Shoiryu or Rakza Z instead.

It's really light, above all else. You don't get that quirky tacky-rubber spin ball out of it, but the Blue Sponge looks great too, and it's a rubber I'd want everyone to try at least once.

These are my impressions using it with a Tornado King Power ST blade. I put Kiryu on my forehand.
Visually, the surface is really glossy — it kind of reminds me of Hurricane.
To the touch, the tackiness is pretty strong, and it's soft too.
When hitting with it, a light touch doesn't bounce much, but hitting hard produces a lot of speed. Drives come out with a high, stable arc that lands well on the table.
Lastly, this rubber is quite light, so it doesn't seem picky about the blade — it should pair well with just about anything.

Tats (Experience: 2〜3 years) A bouncy tacky rubber? Or a non-bouncy tension rubber?

      Reviews by user

The title alone might sound negative, but I wanted to express how easy this is to use. It doesn't fly too far, and without you even thinking about the tackiness, the spin naturally brings the ball down onto the table. When you smash it, the crack it makes is loud enough that you'd think the blade had split.

The topspin drive feels direct, and you can get spin on it, but
a heavy power drive is tough.
      Serves bite well.
The short game is easy, and blocking feels good too.
Also, the rubber is light, and it feels like it has
      a strong sticky, tacky feel.

It has a good amount of tackiness. Storing it with a TSP tacky protective sheet is probably best. As tacky rubbers go, it's on the bouncier side. It's not really suited to blasting your opponent's block away with a monster drive — it feels more like a rubber for rally-based play, mixing spin and no-spin, short and long. Quality is high and it offers great value for money — a tacky rubber you won't regret buying.

On top of being greedy enough to be tacky and tension at once, it's lightweight, so it doesn't care much what blade you pair it with — that makes it easy to use.
It's not overly bouncy, spin can be adjusted depending on your swing, and you can chop serves right off.
And since the black version has that blue sponge, it just looks cool — that's another point in its favor.

Kiryu (Experience: 6〜10 years) Insane grip, it just bites!

      Reviews by user

This rubber is super easy to use!!
It grips the ball well, and for a tacky rubber the speed just keeps building.
My first ever tacky rubber was Kiryu!
