Yasaka can offer a table tennis rubber with a very sticky top sheet combined with a rather hard sponge.
The sticky rubber makes it easy to control the topspin, serves and short cut returns.
The tension of the sponge creates outstanding speed.Even though being a sticky Chinese rubber SHINING DRAGON is light-weighted.

If Shoryu is a rubber for finishing points on the serve or third ball, this one is more for grinding out rallies. What surprised me is that Kiryu is actually tackier than Shoryu. With Shoryu the tackiness is barely noticeable even when you touch it, but with Kiryu it's pretty obvious. Personally I wish it were the other way around, but you can adjust that with TSP's tacky protective sheet. It has a squishy feel, like the rubber has some kind of boost built in. It can't match a Tenergy's absurd tension for spin or speed, but this rubber left me feeling it had a lot of potential.

For a tacky rubber it's too soft, so the spin is on the low side for the category.
But the speed is nice.
It has a unique feel somewhere between tension and tacky — brushing the ball with a glancing hit gives a nice balance of speed and spin.
It takes a while to get used to.
Once you do, everything except the finer short-game touches gets easy.
Rallies in particular come out with a naturally low, powerful arc that's easy to drive through.
And the stability on counter-smashes close to the table and counter-drives at mid-distance is fantastic if you back off the tackiness a bit. Countering is more stable than blocking.
I think it suits players who like long rallies, or who deliberately bait a shot to counter it.
For the backhand I'd recommend a rubber that's good at the short game — I'd suggest Rasant or Rasanter. The color contrast and the balance on the blade are nice too!All Speed Spin Control Hardness Little soft

I used the black 2.0mm on my backhand.
This rubber is light, soft, and bouncy in a way you wouldn't expect from a tacky rubber! Hardness-wise it's about like Rakza X Soft. It's firm enough to use on either side!
My first impression was how stable the short game feels. Even a slightly sloppy touch won't pop up. It's also not very sensitive to incoming spin, so blocking is stable! Once you get the knack of it, you can counter too! And of course it's easy to drive with, packing plenty of power!

I switched because Hurricane was too hard for me to get spin on.
This one has good ball speed, and for me personally it produces some of the best spin I've gotten. Among the other tacky tension rubbers, Spinart was comparable (though this one wins easily on speed).
That said, it feels a bit too light, which cost me some power. It's tricky to adjust to. Oh, and the Blue Sponge looks great lolAll Speed Spin Control Hardness Little hard

It grabs the ball a lot more easily than Shoryu did.
I feel like it's more stable too. The way the ball comes off feels closer to a tension rubber...
And in black you get that Blue Sponge... it really gets me hyped lolI got a good impression from how easy it was to chop, catching the ball high and cutting down on it.
That said, the cut doesn't seem to bite that well. It really shows that tacky-rubber character of needing to brush the surface to get spin.
I could tell myself that my pushes weren't spinning much... though a deep, knuckling push has its own nasty effect.Serves spin decently, I'd say. But if you've used a harder tacky rubber before, you'll probably feel it's lacking.

I put it on my forehand. It's lighter than I expected. It grips the ball well too, and best of all, the Blue Sponge looks great.
