    A LIGHTNING STRIKE

    Z1 with its medium pored sponge and a short, wide pimple structure is the hardest and fastest of the three Bluestorm versions.

    It has immense power. However, in order to engage with so much horse power competent driver is required behind the wheel. A well trained player, master of the fastest game, will find Z1 to be a lethal weapon.

      I'd say this is on the more attack-focused end of attacking rubbers. Speed and power are both strong, and best of all, it really grips the ball for topspin drives.

      Pairing it with a 7-ply wood blade really boosts the destructive power. Personally I found it easier to use on the forehand. On the backhand it feels like it flies a bit too much.

      First off, this rubber isn't for beginners, I'd recommend it for intermediate players and up
      My thoughts using it on the forehand
      Attacking
      Topspin drive
      Lots of spin and good speed too. It works best when you really sink the ball in, but if you graze it instead the speed drops, though the spin goes up. Personally I preferred driving with a good sink-in.

      This is nice, easy to use, and the speed is just as good as the drive.

      Flick
      Very easy to use and it has good power too.

      Defense
      Block
      Easy to use and stable.

      Push
      This is the one weak point, it's easily affected by incoming spin.

      Lastly, drives scooping up from below didn't go in that well, but if you smash from the highest contact point instead, the drives go in more easily too.

      Both the topsheet and sponge are on the harder side
      but the feel isn't actually that hard
      It grips the ball well, so it still packs power even with the plastic ball.

      Seems like it's designed to make speed easy to generate. The spin on topspin drives is amazing too. I think it's built for power hitters.

      This rubber is amazing! For someone like me on a mission to find a "Tenergy substitute that isn't ridiculously overpriced," this is the best one out there!
      It's lighter than the Bluefire series and the speed is outstanding! The way the ball sinks in and just snaps back out is addictive. It felt like it had the softness and ease of use of Rasant R42, combined with the speed of an R47. That said, the shot quality might be slightly lighter than the Bluefire series.
      Still, I'm blown away that I got this level of performance for under 4000 yen tax included! How can this rubber be this cheap? Isn't this the number one rubber for value for money? Donic, you guys are amazing!

      The Z1 is super fast, has a nice shine to it, and feels really great. It works well for defense too. Very satisfied.
